A young Asian man (had a tattoo on his arm) couldn’t have been nicer. He cashed my check, asked what denomination bills I’d prefer, counted the money out to me and thanked me. I’m not even one of their customers I was not charged a fee for this service, despite not having an account with TCF. I’m thinking about changing banks. Excellent display of what customer service should be.”

“I have been a customer of Performance Auto for years. I originally went there when I moved back to New Kensington after years of being away, because I knew the owner, Steve...we went to school together "back in the day." That was 15 years and 3 cars ago. I have been a regular customer ever since because they offer excellent service at a fair price, and I can honestly say that the vast majority of times, my car was done when they said it would be. When you find a good mechanic, you stick with them. Linda and Melanie are the ladies you will deal with at the front counter. Both are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They will not recommend replacing a part if a repair job is all that's needed. Nor will they take on a repair job that isn't worth the owner's time and money. Personal experience, my vehicle had a buzzing/whining noise under the hood. It also had 198k miles on it. They both told me upfront that they could poke around in there, but that there was no guarantee that they'd be able to fix the problem, and besides that, even if they could, I was looking at a rather large bill. Their advice was to keep driving the car until either a) I got to where I couldn't stand the noise anymore I couldn't, or b) the performance of the car started to suffer, and at that point, get a new car...that's exactly what I did. I cannot recommend Performance Auto Service highly enough.”
