“I loved my 3-night stay at the Susquehanna Manor Inn. This historic Victorian mansion is beautiful, peaceful, and spacious. The outdoor setting is equally lovely. I hosted a bridal party the first night of my stay, and the bride and all the guests loved it! The food was outstanding and lovingly prepared by the owners, Rachel Patterson, her husband and family. Rachel is truly a chef par excellence. I could not have asked for better lodging, food, or more gracious service! Be sure to try Rachel's scones and clotted cream. They are unbelievably good!”

“If you're visiting Honesdale and the surrounding areas this is where you want to stay. The staff is friendly and the accomodations are beautiful. We rented on of the larger unit to visit some relatives in the area and I couldn't ask for a better place to rest and relax. Make sure to stop at the Wallflower downtown for all of your gifts. They have a wide variety of unique and high-end merchandise that will have you coming back year after year.”

“Perfect location for our sons wedding. Everyone was coming from out of town and they have nice accommodations. Did not have to worry about anyone driving home. Staff was super friendly and helpful. “The location, that view and a lake that's notable for the absence of motorized boats and booming music coming from them. Absolute serenity in a place that will make your instagram followers go green with jealousy. The lodge itself is a bit of an odd situation. They definitely need work to bring them up to decent standards, but everything works. The beds, especially, were super clean. We met the owner's father who told us that they keep making small improvements. Very friendly and lovely atmosphere. Once they get their renovations done, it's an easy 5-star.”

“Pet friendly and spotless clean, and very well maintained. Owners Garry and Barbara did a fantastic job making their guests feel welcomed here. They really thought of everything! The towels are the same quality as the ones provided at a luxury hotel - soft and thick. Even the doggie guests get their own food bowls and mat in the room, as well as some delicious treats! The cottage has everything you need for a perfect home away from home. We loved the grill on the porch! It’s centrally located so you are close to everything whether you want the mountains, the beach, or good restaurants in town. It’s close to everything! We loved every minute of our stay here and we can’t wait to be back!”

“I would only have one negative about our stay, it was only for one evening. We stayed in Unit 10. Arrived to a wonderfully clean and pleasant cabin. It has everything you need for a longer stay to enjoy the area. Michelle was a wonderful host as she emailed and texted to ensure we had everything we needed and our stay was pleasurable. We love the cost feel. The parking area was lit to ensure security. Parking is all concrete which is great for motorcycles. We loved the views from our unit. All other guests were quiet and respectful. We will definitely be back and this time for more than one night.”

Try to make reservations or pull off the road early, check in around, 4 to 5 if you don't know where you want to stop for the night then go out to eat! Welcoming look, parking lot well lit, felt safe. Clean Entrance, Lobby and Eating area, could use more breakfast options. Nice freshly updated room, really comfy looking beds and they were!”
