“We had our son's rehearsal dinner here in December. The staff was accommodating and helpful in the planning of our event. Our guests raved about the food (steak, salmon & mushroom risotto). The 2 negatives were that the silverware was cheap (thin) & salad forks were part of the place setting when we were having soup as the appetizer. We ate the crab soup (delicious!) with a regular spoon. Unfortunately I didn't notice the salad fork because of trying to get the table runners on after the table was set. I'm sure they would have changed it if I had noticed earlier. Also, I assumed white napkins would be used, so was surprised when I arrived earlier in the afternoon to find red napkins. When I brought this to their attention, they changed to the color I preferred. I wished I had been asked rather then assume I wanted red. I would give them 4.5 stars if I could. Overall, it was a most pleasant evening.”

“Had such an amazing time staying at the Double Day Inn. It's right on the battlefield! The Inn keepers Sue and Greg really make you feel at home. Greg makes a delicious and filling breakfast! There are many monuments right outside. The Eternal Flame Memorial monument is within walking distance and a very peaceful and scenic experience. The room is very clean and cozy and you get a good nights sleep. If you want to stay in Gettysburg The Double Day Inn is the place to be!”

“We stayed here one night on our way up to Cooperstown for a baseball tournament last summer. Our only regret is not having more time here. It is so charming, the hosts are so friendly, the foods was delicious. We chose a room facing the front so we could sit on the porch and watch the buggies clop by. “Nice motel. Rooms have plenty of space and are clean. The motel has a patio in the back looking over the corn field. They are on Route 340. You can not hear much of the traffic while in the room. “This place is adorable. Right in the heart of Lancaster county, minutes away from anywhere you'd want to see (or eat!). Small kitchenette with just a mini-fridge, microwave, and Keurig. Great bathtub! No TV, but with so much to do in the area, I didn't miss it at all! Great for a couple to get away to, but only room for 2, so leave the kids at home.”

“This place was a beautiful treat. My wife and I stayed here with our baby while visiting friends in the area and it was better than we could have hoped. The hosts we're very responsive and hospitable. The accommodations are perfect and comfortable. I would've included a picture of the master bedroom but I took pictures as we were leaving so I didn't want to show the bed not made. We loved it so much we decided we want to come to the area more often just so we could stay here. It just feels like home. They also have two beautiful dogs that run around the property that are very friendly. We enjoyed petting and playing with them. Don't be intimidated when you see them coming to say hi. They listen very well and they're not overly energetic. Lastly I'll note that then King bed has a mattress pad on the top that feels quite firm when you first experience it. I assure you if you just give it a shot for a few minutes, it evens out and ends up being quite comfortable. We stayed two nights and sleept great !”

“We went here for a day trip for my daughters ninth birthday, she loves horseback riding and archery. Our guide was amazing!!!!! He taught us so many fun facts about horses and sincerely seems to love his job and it made the difference. The food was excellent and the staff was perfect, we felt at home here. I highly recommend this place for anyone of any age and will be back. Thank you so much for a magical birthday!”
