(February 12, 2020, 9:45 pm)My dad is 83 years old and fell down 6 stairs and busted his head open. He was a complete mess when he arrived at Encompass and he was mad and did not want to be there. However, everyone there that I encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. My dad was here for almost 2 weeks and he walked out of here a brand new man. I couldn’t believe his transformation. Initially I thought he was never going to be able to walk independently again and now he is walking just fine with his walker. In fact, he is a little too confident and doesn’t think he needs it. Even when we left the hospital he said, “you know I am going to miss all those people that helped me. They were real nice.” I almost cried. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

(August 20, 2019, 9:37 pm)I wish I could rate each area separately. The PT/OT and Techs (CNAs) would definitely receive 5 Stars. The floor staff was very responsive, the facility was very clean, and my mom felt challenged by the therapists. She credits her ability to transfer to and from the wheelchair and her upper body strength to their instruction and attentiveness. Most of the nurses were very thorough. If there was a problem, they did a good job of following up with the doctors. I would have liked more more communication with the medical specialists. If I were rating that aspect alone, I would give them a 1.5. Overall, if I had th o choose a rehab facility again, I would choose Encompass Richardson. Wherever you choose to take your loved one, you must be consistently involved to ensure their needs are met. The daily care provided by the floor staff is extremely important.

(May 10, 2019, 5:30 pm)My mom was admitted to Richardson Encompass after her hospital stay.
The nurse who did her initial assessment was spot on and discovered a wound that we had no idea about!
All the staff were super attentive to my mom and the CEO checked to make sure she was being taken well cared for.
Her rehab was very good for her and we are very pleased with the results. A few days later I broke my ankle and if I need rehab I know where I'm going!
