“I subbed here this week and I loved it. The school is well managed and the students are well behaved and they are learning. I can't say the same for other schools I've been to.”

“Simply put, the best trails in North Texas. You will be tested. Your legs will wish to mutiny. Your attention will be required. Bring your climbing legs and your focus. The technical descents will require it. The climbing will make you earn the downhill rewards. You will see significant elevation while riding here. You week have sine truly fun downhill sections as a gift for your efforts. You will love it. The new pavilion is such a gift. Amazing that the Church gives so much back to the mountain bike community, on top of allowing us the truly great priviledge of access to the trails on the property. Showers, bathrooms, a place to gather in the shade with surprisingly amazing views. Once you've been, you'll go ride these trails again and again. Be sure to donate some funds to the church to keep access, and to thank them for all that they've done for mountain biking in North Texas.”

“The church is so incredibly generous. Allowing us to mountain bike on the property, creating areas that are so friendly to riders, resuscitation with the new pavilion, which has showers, bathrooms, and a gathering place with one of the best ways to take in the surrounding area as the view. The church allies you to come in, to hike, to gather, to pray, to soul search, and to use the trails and views as a way to seek deeper understandings within yourself. We are so grateful for their willingness to allow the mountain bike community to use the priory, which has some of the best trails in Texas right there. You can climb your legs of. You can descend technical areas, you can hit some serious speed on one or two of the downhill sections. You can enjoy the quiet peacefulness of the tree covered trails and you can donate to the church to keep it all alive, and growing. They are here for us, we should give back something in return for such great riding within just a few minutes drive. Thank you, Prayer Mountain.”

“A great big THUMBS UP and THANK YOU to Lt. Roe and Jose of Dallas Fire Station #12 for calming my nerves and easing my fears today. My husband left a pretty full propane tank sitting out in the backyard. While I was back there enjoying the dog, the darn thing went "POP!" My dog and I both ran for cover but nothing else happened other than the oozing of gas fumes. This didn't seem like a reason to call 911, so I drove the 0.3 miles to our nearest station. After sharing my mini- adventure, they explained what was likely going on with the tank and that we were likely not in danger of it blowing up. They offered to come over and make sure it was off. Yay! I figured they'd come within the hour, at their leisure. Not at all. They were at my house within a minute of my own arrival! Turned out the thing had a mild leak. They related it under a shady tree and out of direct sunlight. My husband will return it and get a non-leaky one. So all's well that ends well! Our family is very appreciative. Thanks to the entire team!”

“Love this park. Wish they had more places to sit with a cover over it. A little more play equipment wouldn't be bad either.”

“It's one of my favorite trails at cedar ridge. It's usually always open after it rains unlike the more steep ones. You get a nice view of the creek and it's one of the more busier trails so lots of people are usually here. But it's a really pretty place.”

“We love visiting cedar ridge and hiking the trails. It is beautifully maintained, lots of different trails that interconnect so you can tailor your hike to the difficulty/length you want, and everyone is really friendly. Lots of people hiking with their families and pooches, and it also is very safe for solo hikers as well. In the spring they have loads of wildflowers for all your family photo needs, and lots of vistas and overlooks to enjoy the scenery. There's also a pond with fish, turtles and frogs. Bring your lunch and picnic, spend the day or just an hour. Definitely worth the trip - you're basically utilizing the Cedar Hill State Park area without paying the fee. Only downside is sometimes parking can be a challenge, but that's minor in my book.”
