We waited, looked around as we stood waiting, to see if anyone would assist us. There were even 2 employees that walked in, but never asked if we needed help,come to find out later, one of them was the Manager. After waiting for quite some time, the young man stocking named Kendrick ask if anyone had Assisted us...when replied no, He went above and beyond to helps us get what we needed. My daughter does not get out of the house much during this pandemic and she followed her rules (mask on and don’t touch anything!). She had a great time and looked at everything at least twice. “Power outages everywhere. Woke up freezing & hungry. Called & Tom Thumb was open! First time here & the place was buzzing with people. Starbucks, hot deli, nice wine selection but several shelves were bare. Sadly my neighborhood were only blocks over & my grocery stores had no power and people were standing outside in line!! It was 20 degrees!! I feel saddened for those freezing in their homes & hungry & had no means to get to Tom Thumb. My neighborhood 75215 is considered a Food Desert less than a mile away! Tom Thumb staff was fast, friendly & the atmosphere was inviting. Shame no one - grocery chains, mayor or City Council care enough about the people in 75215 or 75210.”
