(July 27, 2019, 7:32 pm)I chose The Yoga Institute because its one block from my temporary home. Everyone was so welcoming, the studio is a nice peaceful space, and the teachers are great. I'm looking forward to learning and growing in my practice while in town. ????

Having practiced here since 2003, I have grown so much in my understanding and ability! The teachers each have a unique personality and teaching style and you come to love this diversity. This studio has been around since way before Yoga became a trend and it shows ... there is an undercurrent of genuine spiritual quest here that is simultaneously most accepting towards anyone - “Yoga meets you where you are at” says Katherine, the owner and a beloved teacher. Wishing her and all of us, great joy and more great Yoga in the new, drop dead gorgeous studio space! -

(November 4, 2018, 8:47 pm)Excellent place, run professionally and guided by very knowledgeable and experienced instructors. Great friendly environment too. I am learning so much and grateful for it. Moving to Houston for a job, I also needed to find a yoga studio because I’d been taking classes elsewhere for the last 1-2 years and definitely wanted to continue the practice. I joined The Yoga Institute because it was very close to work and made it convenient to go straight after work. I am so glad I lucked into it. My awareness of body and mind has increased so much in the last 4 months that I’ve been taking classes here. Having different teachers on different days gives me a diversity of styles and breadth of useful tips. The collective energy of teachers and students is very uplifting. I’m happy.

I was so nervous walking in for my first class I had never done yoga before I didn’t know if I would look ridiculous trying something so out of my realm, but I walked out feeling confident. Since my first class I have been to several local yoga studio’s and several in different places around the world in travel; but this place and people make me feel at home. Come join us you will be so happy that you did!
