“The staff is so helpful and friendly. The facility is always clean and fresh. I always use the computers and i like that the internet is very fast. I am very thankful to have this library in my neighborhood near me. I would like to know if the library could add some of the titles I would like to read but that aren't physically available.”

“I am ambivalent about this library so I'll list the pros and cons. Pro: Gorgeous architecture inside, enormous Children's section, lots of chairs to relax in, huge selection of media (DVDs etc.) and Adult Nonfiction, many PCs available, nice view from the back. Con: A bit hard to get to, somewhat unwelcoming exterior, small selection of Adult Fiction, unfriendly staff. Worth a visit just to admire the design inside.”

“My child loves story time. The lady who runs the program is nice and makes sure the children pay attention to the story. We always have a fun time. The activities after the stories are fun and you can tell they put a lot of effort into it. I live in Leon Valley and the Library is my favorite thing about our community. I don’t think people understand that our library isn’t affiliated with the San Antonio Library so you have to pay to use this Library if you are not a resident of Leon Valley.”

“Decent library, decent children's selection, helpful staff. However it's counterproductive to put a bunch of kids game computers right there next to the little kid book section when you want your kid to focus on picking out books. All they can think about is how to sneak over to the computers and play games. Very frustrating. The point of a library is not to go play idiotic games, it's to find and read books. The game computers should be far enough away that the kids don't see them all the time.”

“The Highland Hills branch is located in southeast Dallas, near the 45/20 merge, on Bonnie View just south of Camp Wisdom/Simpson Stuart. The neighborhood isn't as nice as it appears on the surface. The library is new, modern without being ostentatious; beautifully designed and landscaped. A huge parking lot with very easy access for the handicapped. The library is designed horizontally, meaning that as you enter the books are to your left and right. Straight ahead are 24 desktop computers slightly cramped together on two long tables. To the right is a good-sized adult fiction section and a surprisingly small children's. They do have a number of circular hassock-type chairs for the kiddos which look comfy and cute. They remind me of big red toadstools. One minor quibble is that the ends of the bookshelves aren't labelled. To the left are the CDs, nonfiction, Afro-American, Spanish language and young adult sections. There are floor-to-ceiling windows comprising the back (north facing) wall, with chairs alone or with tables all along - the whole length of the library. The bathroom is very clean and spacious. Even the privacy screen is something to behold. The library seems somewhat underutilized, which is a shame but as a result is very quiet. I recommend you pay a visit if you're in the area.”

“I love this library. It has lots of books to pick from, if not you can order and picm them up later. The staff is always friendly and ready to help!. But what I really like is that it has a lot of computer's so you don't really have to wait unlike skyline library. Good place to take the kids when low on money. Plus we get done with the school reading log pretty quick.????????”

“Bring my daughter here for story time on Tuesdays. Ana is great, she picks good books and gets the kids involved by switching it up from reading to singing, activities and play time. My daughter loves this library and the staff is really helpful.”
