I was on an internship at 2 major Houston hospitals from July - December, 2018 and was able to stay at the Art Abbey during that entire timeframe. His home was always spotless and clean! I really appreciated that there was also a garage to keep my car inside. “My priorities was a cheap, clean place to stay with a short commute to the beach. I knew I got the cheap and saw it was within 10-15 minute to Galvestion, but was apprehensive about the clean part as cheap and clean don't always go hand in hand. I was very pleased with my room. I had thought I requested a ground floor but upon checking in that request was not recieved by them. They however worked with me and switched rooms. The room had a hair dryer, small microwave and dorm fridge. The shower head had good, strong water pressure. I would stay here again.”

“Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for two nights and everything was astoundingly pleasant! TLDR: GREAT PLACE TO STAY AT!!! The bed is extremely comfortable; I actually even tried to lift the mattress to see what the hell mattress they use to make it feel like you’re sinking into a deep soft fluffy dream (but it was too heavy unfortunately). Room might be small for some people but the ambience is great, sofa bed is nice and comfy (I actually chose this hotel because of how MODERN and SLEEK the rooms look without charging you a hefty fee). Bathroom is beautiful with good lighting so I didn’t look extra ugly!! (We got a king suite hoping it would have the shower with sliding door but we got a regular shower with curtain instead, but that’s not a problem!!) Now my FAVORITE part about this place gotta be the breakfast and pool. Very clean pool, not crowded at all, and hot tub is GREAT. Breakfast was very tasty (surprisingly!) and staffs are friendly!!(especially the kitchen staffs; the men were very kind and polite). I did not find any negatives during my stay, and would definitely come back next time I visit Houston. Had one of the best time of my life with my date, and loved every second of it! GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY!! I’m glad I chose it after HOURS of looking at hotel reviews online!!”

“First off I just want to say that you can't always trust everything you read on line. When looking for a place 4 months ago I too read reviews on this community they were awful and I was very unsure as to rather I wanted to live here with my children.. but.... When coming to see for my self I realized that this community is not what was precived about it.... When I move in October first my home was ready to go... Everything was fixed with the exception of a few things.. when I placed a work order the maintenance men Timand the other gentleman sorry I forgot his name they were at my house fixing everything that needed to be fixed. They're very dedicated and making sure that people have a nice home to live in. My the manager here Stephanie has completely turn this place around she is one of the sweetest people that I've probably ever met. She's always been there even when I'm struggling through a very hard situation. She keeps this place very well up kept. As far as Nancy who is like the head person here people made her out to be the worst person on the planet and this is NOT TRUE! I have seen her putting together things for the children to do for holidays, buying decorations to make this place look beautiful.. She is a very sweet person... And I resent what I have heard people saying about her or anyone else who now works here.. but I get it someone has to be the bad guy because people don't follow rules or pay there bills but she is not a horrible person... This is our home and our community and if you believe all the bad reviews your gonna miss out on a wonderful place to stay!!!! December 2018”

“Inexpensive hotel in town, rooms are large, clean, but sparse. Desk staff are friendly and helpful. Check out your towels and shampoo, soap before settling in just in case you need more than offered. No hot drink cups, so carry one up from the front desk if you want hot tea or instant soup in your room. Coffee machine available 24 hours. Breakfast is barely acceptable, instant oatmeal, pastry, some fruit, but adequate if you're on the road or in a hurry. Mexican restaurant next door with great tortilla soup.”
