“Hidden gem - half paved, other half gravel. Fairly good views of the bayou. Signs every so often telling you where you are. Bathrooms and a nice picnic area a little back from the entrance. A few good quality benches. Just really well done, though the environment and occasional hurricane is definitely hard on the park I think. Well worth returning to.”

“Plenty of room, not all jammed up to the trailer next to you. Concrete pads for trailer and truck parking. All the grass is mowed regular and trimmed around your trailer. Nice laundry room and bath house and a convenience store onsite. Also have propane filling station and reasonably priced. Real nice folks that manage the place. Monthly rate is about an average rate, there are cheaper places around and a couple that are higher in price. Some lots have nice shade trees and others without if you'd prefer not to be under a tree. Looks like there may be a few permanent residence but all are kept up nice and clean.”

“Private boat launch (two launches, actually) for the neighborhood including a park like setting with grill, open air pavilion with a couple of picnic tables in a cove, a quiet part of the lake. Easy to get in & out of the water.”
Address: Shadow Lake Dr, Montgomery, TX 77356, USA
“Nice and well maintained free launch with docks. It's a no wake cove but on busy weekends the water can still get a bit choppy which can make it tough to trailer your boat. Also, people tend to swim and fish around the docks so you have to be very careful to avoid kids and fishing lines in the water. Free is free though.”

“We have lived here coming up to a year next month. Of all the places we looked this was the one we chose at last minute and we have not regretted it since. Yes they do background checks and charge you but if you have nothing to hide than you wouldn't have a issue with that because some of the RV parks we looked at it was clear they did not do background checks and they were trashed. The owner takes good care of the property and is constantly working on it to keep it nice, clean and comfortable for short term and long term RV'ers. Manager is awesome, informative on RV's and helpful on issues that arise. They are very strict on their rules and anyone violating the simple rules put in place are out. We love this because it is very quiet and very safe and there are no shenanigans going on. The only negative thing I can say is we do not receive mail there. Otherwise, perfect place, perfect cost. You pay lot and electric with that you don't pay for water or sewage. You get free cable and wifi. Pool area is set up beautifully and you can swim, BBQ and play music. They also have a fishing pond.”

“This Houston Audubon wildlife sanctuary provides an escape from the city. A short hike down past magnolias, fern gardens next to a stream, and then you reach the sandy bottom of Winter's Bayou. A wonderful shady area. As this area is nestled in the middle of the Sam Houston National Forest you need to bring insect repellent and appropriate clothing. It is primitive and there are no restroom facilities, so "leave no trace". A great wild adventure. The sanctuary is open from sunrise to sunset.”

“This is a very small neighborhood park. There are a few playsets for kids to play on, however, no swings. The gazebo is really nice with a bbq grill next to it. The Park also offers a basketball court, however, there's no goal at the current time.”
