“When I first moved to this area, Apache Creek Linear Park was an overgrown and unused. Now, it is beautiful and well kept and you can walk there in safety thanks to regular bike patrols. I've even seen people kayak-ing in the river! Overall a nice place to walk.”

“Good facility to practice t-ball. Nice up kept field. Only draw back is the youth and some adults that plague the park and field. Young teenaged kids try smoking and taking pictures of our team/people who attend. Other than that...”

“Small, quiet, with a decent track & outdoor workout equipment. Has a nice little jungle gym and it’s dog friendly (waste bags provided). Even a port-a-potty. Overall, a good neighborhood park.”

“Excellent park for a walk/run because of the ample shade, especially during the hot summers. Only issue for me is traffic from hwy 281 can be heard throughout almost the entire park.”

“This at the Alamo Bark Park. Love bringing my kids here, my friends and their friends are here to visit and have a great time relaxing or in the dogs cases running and having fun. Its owned by dog owners and not the city of Alamo Heights so donations are welcome as well as volunteers.”

“Great fields, very nice. Clean. The park is well cared for, nice and green. would recommend any person wanting to join a team to join Spartans (the first team there next to the parking lot) usually find them there training there Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Incredibly talented team.”

“Wow - that sponsorship wall is pretty conspicuous, isn’t it? I was pretty moved by the memorial until I saw the huge, gaudy logos (HEB, Metro, etc) etched immediately behind the statuary. I’m imagining how those conversations went: “Yeah, we’d love to help with the Memorial! Count us in! A few notes, though... my boss says we have to see the HEB logo, so it’s got to big and visible. Maybe in blinking neon? But don’t let me tell you how to do your job.’ Blurgh. Otherwise, a totally appropriate and inspiring memorial.”

“Very Affordable so Five stars for that. But 1 Star for all of the Parks Maintenance and Lay out... even the web site is Hard to navigate. As far as the Parks..."Buried in Mosquitoes" you can't be outside right before dark or early morning. Something else it is odd there are no lights in the parks. And the state of Texas Marquee for the state park entrance to the Bay sides there's no names or lights on... Now if you're from out of town you have no idea what it is. You have to be very observant to what little signs they do have. I'm proud to say we are from East Texas and our little of Tyler state park is a beautiful place and well kept and groomed. And almost all the other state parks we have visited are lighted Gates Entrance. I can't understand why they do not have it lit up with lights they have electricity. Some one in upper management not doing a very good Job@”

“Good small site with a drip to attract migrants. The day we visited things were slow, but not the fault of the site. Still pulled out some excellent birds at mid-day, including Blue Grosbeaks, a White-tailed Kite and a Painted Bunting, and the habitat is excellent. Definitely worth the visit.”
