“Great place to get away from the concrete jungle. It has a beautiful water seen, long trails in the woods, a nature center, and more. My husband and I went on the trails and they are nice and spacious. I was concerned about the wild hogs since there are warning signs about them all over the place! Never saw any thanks goodness! It was a pure delight getting in the middle of nature, even for a short time.”

“Hike/Bike trail beginning at HWY 6 & Patterson going to Barker Cypress. Parking across the street. On google maps it shows a trail from the Dog Park but it didn't seem worthy of tracking through. It is an asphalt trail,, very calm and relaxing. If your looking for action I'd recommend Memorial Park or Terry Hershey Park Hike and Bike Trail”

“Great place just make sure you do not leave valuables in your car, at this park unless you want them to disappear. Do not enter the park before 7AM and after 10PM as you run the risk of a large ticket even if the gates are still open. The most important thing to know when coming here is to DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE. IF YOU DO PEOPLE WILL BREAK INTO YOUR VEHICLE, and FIND WHERE YOU HID THEM. DON'T BE STUPID AND THINK IT WON'T HAPPEN TO YOU. IT'S NOT IF......IT'S A MATTER OF WHEN. And if you have left stuff in your vehicle, and nothing has happened yet. Then you have been very fortunate. ** The park is only as safe as you make it. Don't be a victim. Don't bring cash, credit cards, social security cards,or anything you don't want to disappear. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS and you should be fine. AGAIN if you FAIL TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE and your vehicle gets broken into, don't look for a Pity party for your own stupidity. For Christ sake it's Houston people and not the best surrounding area of town.”

“Saw an axis deer about a quarter of a mile from the blue light cemetery. Definitely worth the hike if you’re into the outdoors!”

“Came here for disc golf course. Fun course with A and B options per hole. I'll definitely return here. The course was maintained well. Mowed. Marked. Though one basket is wobbly and can cause your disc to be rejected. The foot path around the course can cause delays since the people using it are not mindful of the golfers. Road driving to this place when coming from the south is a nightmare. Don't clinch your jaw, you'll break a tooth. Not kidding. Parking lot is small but there seems to be little demand in non peak times.”

“Excellent community park. Lots of open area. Two slides for big and little kids. The dinosaur skeleton is a bonus, kids can climb up, and play hide and seek.”
