“I lived in Jackson Chang West Oak St Apartments for 3 years and had a lovely, peaceful stay. Joy, Ming, and everybody who work for Jackson Chang are super friendly (especially Joy!!), understanding, and very easy to work with! Their maintenance was good and very quick in responding, and the rent is very reasonable. My only reason for moving out of this apartment was that I wanted a bigger space. I always wanted a bigger apartment under this apartment management itself, but I could not find one, hence had to go for another management. When moving out, I got 100% of my security deposit back! I have absolutely nothing to complain about! Thank you Joy, Ming, and the team for everything!!”

“I’ve been a resident at The Hudson, formerly Shadow Creek Apartments for a little over a year. The area is great, close to restaurants, grocery stores, parks, very safe neighborhood to walk in, I’ve seen people out at 5:30 am walking and after dark and haven’t heard of any issues. What I appreciate most about this property is whenever I have a maintenance request it gets addressed in a timely manner and the emergency requests are addressed immediately. My main contact with the maintenance crew has been with Nick who is the most pleasant person you could ever be around. He always speaks and waves when I’m walking my dogs and he’s never come to my apartment in a bad mood or acting irritated at my request. Nick patiently listens as I drone on to clarify the issue and it’s obvious he knows what he’s doing because he’s able to quickly ascertain the problem and solution. Jonathan is another maintenance worker I see often picking up debris around our area of the complex who is always very friendly with a smile and a wave. I haven’t had any dealings with Adrian yet, however I have seen a white truck circle the complex numerous times. I told Nick several months ago that I’d seen that white truck circling often and if he kept coming around I was calling the NRH Police because he looks very suspicious driving slow and looking at the buildings. Nick told me that is Eric, and I think he said he is the head of maintenance so please do not call the police on him he is doing his job looking at the property. Bottom line, I’m so grateful to have this maintenance crew here at The Hudson, they make my life so much easier in keeping my apartment functioning properly. Regarding the office personnel, I’ve had dealings with Brittany in person and email, and some with Melissa via email and they are both pleasant and very quick responders which I value as a tenant. I know some complexes that once they get the lease signed then when you need them you never hear from them; The Hudson is not that way which is very much appreciated.”

I was fortunate enough to buy my house before the current bubble, and I feel for those having to navigate the market of the past few years. Aaron has been one of the few voices of reason I have seen throughout this bubble. He was advocating for the consumer even back in 2019, and his writing is informed yet accessible to the Layman (sorry, had to throw that pun in!). “Update 05/04 This place is still a solid 5 stars! We finally moved into the Townhomes here, although we had to wait until March to move in, it was worth the wait, because this place is wonderful! The Townhome is well crafted, insulated well, and has some nice features that we didn't even expect, like a second outdoor patio on the ground floor, a juliet balcony in the upstairs master, and 2 AC units, one for the first floor and one for the second floor. The staff has also been wonderful to us and has been very helpful since we have moved in. The maintanace manager, Miguel, has been awesome at responding quickly to any service requests we have had as well. There are still many Townhomes still available at the time I am updating this, and most of the complex is already completed. Everything below, was written before move in, but is still accurate of how great The Caroline is: This has by far been the best apartment complex I have ever seen and experienced. Not only do they have standard apartment sized rooms but they also have full sized townhomes! The amount of thought and care for the residents put into this complex is extraordinary! The resident rooms and halls are laid out in shiny marble tiles, chandeliers in ever space, and high end decor and other amenities, such as their fully stocked gym, beautiful business center, and your choice between three different pools! It honestly feels like a high end hotel! Dont believe me, look at my pictures. Because the complex right now is not fully completed, my roommates and I are currently awaiting the townhomes to be finished to move into. I will update this once we move in. What has been even more inviting however has been the management. Since meeting with the property manager Angie, we have been shown so much hospitality and and have felt welcomed to the Caroline. Even though we are not residing here yet, we were still invited to their Autumn Brunch, full of great foods, welcoming future neighbors, and of course, bloody marys! All the food displayed is from that event in the resident hall and it is just INCREDIBLE! I cannot wait to be a resident here and I know my roommates feel the same. If you havent checked out the Caroline, come see Angie and tell them Christian Ayala sent you. Maybe I can get a refer a friend bonus 😉!”

The whole staff was very attentive to my apartment needs and made me feel very comfortable doing my apartment search.
