“Just spend 2 nights and was impressed! The outside of the building and the halls could use a little update but the room was nice! Clean! The pool was great and the bar by the pool was a bonus! View from our room was beautiful! Staff was friendly and helpful! Really no complaints! We didn't go down for breakfast so can't comment about that but we overall had a great stay! Thank you!!”

I came into the office a bit panicked and Tracy & Becky were great. They were so kind to me and very professional. “Company sent me here when my truck went into the shop. I'm a loyal Wyndham stayer so I was a bit nervous about what to expect. Man let me tell you, what a nice hotel! It's also very quiet in spite of the roadway right there. Room 119 was very clean and if there were people in the rooms next to me, even they were super quiet.🤣 1 drawback tho is room 119 is right next to the AC unit and it kept making a noise every few minutes. So if you're a light sleeper, avoid that room. However for me it wasn't an issue.🤷🏾♀️ The shower had great water pressure and temperature. I also love the fact that it was a regular tub/ shower combo in a king room. Not just a shower like at Wyndham 🫢. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and got me checked in super fast. She even helped me extend my room with no issues. Big bonus for me was the ice cream machine (take that Wyndham 😃)!! Let's just say by the end of my first night, I joined Best Western's reward program (sorry Wyndham 🫣😂)!! Will definitely be back!!”

“I had gotten a deluxe queen non-smoking suite, and it was very nice initially, until my friend and I realized that we were missing a lot of things in the room, like the complimentary toiletries, bed sheet, blanket, and towels. It looked like the room was in the middle of being set up but was never finished. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they came to see our room and were very apologetic. They quickly got us a new and ready room of the same type with little hassle. New room was same in quality, just with carpet instead of tile flooring. All things considered, this is a great budget option for what you pay, with accommodating staff, relatively clean rooms, and great location.”

“I have been coming here for about 3 months and it has been wonderful. Joey, she works the front desk and is very knowledgeable about the health insurance process. Dr. Suzanne is the chiropractor and she's incredibly gentle and takes her time with her adjustments. The atmosphere and aura of the office is also nice, quiet and clean. I was going in for weekly appointments and now it is every two weeks. My body feels great and the cost is affordable compared to my previous chiropractor. I highly recommend!”

“Can't say enough about how good this hotel is. The location is great. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Be aware that busses full of students and church groups sometimes stay here, so the pool may be a little busy and noisy. But the staff handles them like a champ. The gym is small but it has the necessary, regular equipment to get a decent workout. The common areas are maintained cleaned. The rooms are quiet. The breakfast was usually well stocked with the regular items (eggs, ham-egg-cheese sandwiches, bagels, cereal, milk, etc). The free ice cream in the afternoon really makes a difference. It is a little detail, but it really wins over the little ones in the group.”

“We always look forward to our annual visit to this comfortable home. This year, we enjoyed the new kitchen area added to our room since last year. All the rooms in the guest house are cozy and quiet, with antique furniture and private baths. Great location for home base. Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown aren't far away, and this B&B is just down the road from the James River plantations. But we always return to Piney Grove since it is also near Richmond. Route 5 takes you directly through the Rocketts Landing neighborhood, and then on into downtown Richmond.”
