“Ah Whitlow's.... This is every Arlingtonians go to spot for beer and sport. The roof top is a nice place to have a chat and drinks (during the day) and they have a few games out there to include more people. During the day its a great brunch spot for families and friends. They have trivia nights, pool, darts and daily specials. On weekend night it does tend to liven up with the "bros" of Arlington and girls who've been there for hours already. You can tell. If you're into that scene more power to you but I tend to avoid, it gets a little too messy for me. And I mean that literally *plugs nose just thinking about it* Their kitchen is open late in the middle of the week which I have taken advantage of plenty of times. The beer selection is very nice. Wine and cocktails are pretty basic. Their fish and chips dish is my favorite (tartar sauce is the bomb). If you live in Arlington (or not) definitely make a stop here to try their classic American food with a nice cold beer.”

Not only the food but the wait staff was attentive and seemed really inspired by all the runners. Breakfast buffet - same. Prices are good. For hotel food a really good deal. The bar - not so much. “This is one of the best small, well-hidden ethnic restaurants in Fairfax County. Historically and enviably, its customers are well-known to become regulars in this gem of a restaurant, started by Italian sisters with family recipes. We have not found a restaurant in our end of Fairfax County that can prepare sole fish the way the chef at Via Veneto can. I grew up on the Gulf Coast, but the one water critter I do not enjoy eating is fish...except at Via Veneto! Any way they fix sole, it is inspired and delectable, and my family and I relish the evening that includes it. A typical side dish in most Italian restaurants is a dish of pasta topped with a tomato sauce. The chef's sauce at Via Veneto is so full of flavor that my mouth is watering as I write this. The day after dining, my pasta leftovers never make it to the microwave for reheat, instead they go down in the same chilled state. Yum! The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Bring your friends and a good appetite, load the address into your GPS, & be prepared to have a delightful evening!”

“The store's location is in a far back-left corner of a square of other businesses, so for a first time pick-up it can be tricky to find it. Parking is fairly empty and the lot is spacious. Going inside there are several menus posted all around the store. On the left there is a red bench for two comfortably. The cash register is directly ahead of you and employees are generally within view and will come to you. Their delivery is pretty quick for me because I live about a mile away. The food quality has been consistently hot and well made. If you use the online tracker you will have a pretty accurate gauge of the timing of things. I don't have a problem with this store I just don't have enough money.”
