“What a great little community park! Super nice playground for kids of all ages. We took our 1 yr old to the park and she had a blast. Definitely no parking - more of a walk up and play situation. But nice nonetheless.”

Handicap accessible, though there is no designated parking for this park. 2 access points. Basketball half court, trash, picnic tables and benches available at this park. Large green space available as well. Small walking path available.”

“All around, great park. Lots of greenery and makes you feel like you're in the forest when taking a walk down the paths. Although you can hear traffic from I-205, it for me, turns into "white noise". The structures are engaging for kids, offering balance and strength challenges. There is a restroom. There are horseshoe pits, covered group area with barbeques, large green expanses for group ball or net sports.”

This park is handicap accessible, but there is only street parking here and there are no bathrooms. There is a trash can here, 3 benches, water fountain for people & pets and two picnic tables. “Fun little neighborhood park. The city needs to do a better job keeping up on the mowing. We are happily surprised to see this park was not bone dry, so they must water this one! Large grassy field for kids play. Could use some benches or a little work on the softball/kickball diamond.”

“Optimist Memorial Park is a beautiful well seasoned Park. It has a large dog walking area. That is fenced in and at the far right hand corner in the back. There is ample parking for dozens of cars. A couple large Pavilions provides enough space for a large family gathering. Along with a kids play area, it's a perfect spot for a spring summer Gathering or birthday party. There are still some barbecue stations provided by the parks Rec. They are in excellent shape. I always bring steel wool and a little bit of oil every time I barbecue there. The facility also has bathrooms on a large gymnasium. There is also a new library that has been completed in the past couple years. You can also rent the gym for a birthday party. It's very reasonable and they provide you with a couple staff members to play basketball and other games during the party. Optimist park is a beautiful Park that is well maintained and very clean. We highly recommend Optimist Memorial Park for a good walk around some old trees, or just to go sit and enjoy a day”
