Starting with a kids playground, a covered Pavilion , a wildflower garden, several picnic tables, clean great trails thanks to a wonderful volunteer, Scott Murdock. Kane Memorial Dog Park

Address: 10910 NE 172nd Ave, Vancouver, WA 98682, USA

Park

“This park is nice, but pretty small, which is why the four stars. They have a few trash cans throughout with poo bags. It does get a little slick when wet, as the path is dirt. There are two sides to park on, and the first lot is where we parked, and it was a bit of a walk to get to the park. You can stay on this path and it will go quite a ways, but dogs are required to be on leash. We don’t know how far from the parking on the other side. There’s a playground outside the dog park back by where we ended up parking. It’s a really nice and kept park all around. James (our couch hippo) approves!”

Silverdale Waterfront Park

Address: 3337 NW Byron St, Silverdale, WA 98383, USA

Park

“One of my favorite childhood parks growing up, it's changed a few times over the last few years, there's still a large climbing structure, albeit a bit different then previous iterations. The swings are long gone but more benches and tables are present. It's got some construction going on currently and while it makes the parking lot a little messy, hopefully it'll be short work. However the main reason I come and still enjoy this park; the view from mid spring to late summer is phenomenal.”

Steven J. Underwood Memorial Park

Address: Des Moines - Steven J Underwood Memorial Park, 21800 20th Ave S, Des Moines, WA 98198, USA

“We came from out of town and found this playground. It was absolutely perfect! The playground was completely covered so the kiddos didn't get a ton of sun exposure. There also was imitation grass below so we didn't have to worry about sawdust or pebbles. Seeing the planes landing over-head was a treat, as well.”

The Bloedel Reserve

“The trails are beautifully done. Easy to walk paths through fields, forest, and around ponds. So many different plants that look different every time I go. Many benches that invite you to stop and enjoy the view. I highly recommend you go every season to see the wonderful changes in the gardens and paths.”
