“It's a cute little park with a climbing wall. Better for kids 6 and under than older kids. Google maps sent us through Brighton Square Apartments parking lot to get there, which works, but isn't convenient. You can drive right to it on Rockwood and park on the street directly in front of it.”

“I've been taking zoom (due to COVID-19) prenatal classes with Jana and it's been great!! She's extremely personable, knowledgeable and creates such great lessons. I truly feel comfortable with all of the safe stretches and poses she has us doing. I am so happy I found this place and I am so grateful that they've been offering virtual classes. I cannot wait to continue my practice with her and take more classes at Yoga Om Peace in the future.”

“Nice neighborhood park with plenty of elevation changes. I didn't explore much this visit, but the area looks like it would be great for butterflies. Will definitely be coming back to check out the trails.”

“I have a 11 year old ADHD, high functioning Autism, who love the water and has wanted to learn how to SCUBA dive since I took her snorkeling in the Keys 2 years ago. Madison SCUBA went to great lengths to make this dream possible for her. The were extremely patient with her and took the time to make sure understood everything. I cannot than them enough. Henry”

“Great area on at croix, shallow and sandy in most places tons of downed trees.dont take the thin stream in the middle of the maps paths. It is clogged with big dead trees lots of spiders and mud”

“This is a hidden gem! We recently moved to Sussex near Sussex Bowl and we went for a walk one day and came upon this park. The kids ask to go there all the time now! The playground is really nice, there's a swing set and slides and monkey bars etc. There's a lot of grassy area for dogs to run around too. A little stream runs through the back of the park but you have to walk through tall grass to get to it, and the water is pretty gross. We went there this evening and there was a pile of soda cans and garbage on the ground under the playground, so we threw it away but otherwise it's usually very clean! There's a big sandbox as well. It's on a dead end so it may be hard to find if you aren't aware of it. We would recommend it for kids age 3+!”

“Lovely, flat and easy trail, mostly in shade--we walked loop twice. Fun to watch and listen to birds, as well as soak in the greenery. We encountered a few other guests, but it was a quiet, refreshing dip into nature.”

“" NO DOGS" This is a beautiful bird sanctuary & Conservation Park that is clearly marked "NO DOGS" . Pets on a leash are welcome around part of Strickers Pond but NOT in the Wooded Conservation Park which is clearly marked. Habitat is affected by dogs since wildlife perceive dogs as predictors, even those dogs on a leash. This reduces natures way for wildlife to survive and raise their young while limiting wildlife viewing experiences for everyone. Dog scent repels wildlife with lingering impacts. There are many areas in Dane County where dogs are welcome but Conservation parks such as Strickers Pond & the Arbetum are some of the few remaining areas for Audubon members to enjoy nesting habitats for migrating & nesting birds such as Cranes. Try Tiedeman Pond which has a walking path all the way around it & has no restrictions for leashed pets yet is minutes from Strickers Pond on Voss Parkway.”

“My mom and I enjoyed 5 miles of hiking this afternoon (one 3.1 mile trail and a second just under 2 mile trail). We knew it would be hilly but also mostly shaded on the hilly parts which is what we were looking for. My husband and I have enjoyed the not so hilly trail along the lake previously both for a walk and years ago cross-country skied around the lake.”

“This was the best place! My children had the best time ever. We go there every year now, and the new staff is incredibly nice. The lake could use a little work but over all this is an awesome place. That bounce pillow was one of the best things there, and the nature trails are great to. And I love the fact this place is animal friendly, so feel free to take your pet. This place is awesome for children and adults, and I love all the activities 5 stars would recommend”

“Great place to swim but be aware of the deep drop offs since it is a quarry. There's a nice path to walk all the way around the quarry. Fishing pier, dog swimming area, rentals. The swimming area has a big raft to jump off. Sometimes lifeguards are there, it's hit or miss in my opinion. Nice little playground area too. The concession stand is closed but the bathroom and showers are open. You have to pay $6 for a day pass if you are just coming to swim for the day. Awesome campgrounds as well. Horseback riding trails. So much wonderful space for everyone to enjoy!”
