“This was our second time here and both time we've had good experiences. We placed an order for pick up through the app. Our order was ready by the time we arrived, we decided to eat outside since the weather was perfect. We ordered the cheddar cheese and bacon bagel which was made perfectly and the jalapeño bacon gourmet bagel. That one was wrong and they basically just gave us a plain bagel with the spread which was good but not what we ordered, we didn't feel like waiting for another one so we didn't mention anything this time. Both bagels were fresh and delicious either way. Great place to stop by and have a quick breakfast!”

“Their coffee selection is great. They have many flavors for your coffee. I was able to add raspberry flavor to my oat milk latte and honestly, NO REGRETS. This place has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. It’s unique decor gives this place a chill atmosphere where you don’t mind spending time to do school work. I found staff to be really friendly and they make sure to give their clients the time they need to pick from the menu. They have ice cream, muffins, cookies, croissants, variety of pound cakes, brownies. While we waited in line to order, we were able to glimpse through their selection of magnets and post cards they have on sale and through their cool band posters on their walls. Did you know that a beetles ticket in 1966 cost $5?!! Well I just learned that from one of the band posters at the Coffee House & Cafe. Thank you Coffee House and Cafe for the great service, I can’t wait to be back!”

“It’s a standard Starbucks but, the staff was friendly and did not seem bothered that you came in. I also like that they have the sweeteners, straws, stirrers etc… out where you can get them, not like so many Starbucks where it’s all behind the counter and they act annoyed when you ask for them. If they just start putting the heavy cream back out at the self serve bar I would give them 5+ stars. Lol Overall this is one of the nicer Starbucks I have been to.”

The Magic Kitchen that creates and prepares the wonderful food, the Magic Ambiance and Venue which can at times include a meal outdoors in the protected, shade-tree patio, and the Magic Staff who are on top of your order and table at every turn. I have been eating Mexican food since 1969 when I first lived in Denver. Soon thereafter I moved to Arizona and for the last 50 years have enjoyed eating at the best of the best in Arizona's Mexican food scene. Oaxaca in downtown Phoenix was my all-time favorite in the 1970's; El Charro in Tucson (since 1922, the oldest in the USA, and the birthplace of the Chimichanga) for the 1980's; and El Rincon at Tlaquepaque in Sedona for the 1990's; and for the 2000's, Las Michoacanas in modest little Mammoth, Arizona. I still eat at the last three and have great appreciation for the families and staff of these excellent restaurants. Still, Pete's beats them all, so far. I'll admit, I've only just eaten at Pete's for the first time in May.2022. I met a firend from Belen there and I had the #2 combination plate that featured a Relleno, a beef taco, cheese enchilada, with rice and calabacitas. Each entree portion had a distinct, different taste and sauce, and the chili relleno was encrusted with a crunchy batter that was deep fried. The cheese with the relleno was inside the crisp rollup that looked like a corn dog and tasted like heaven on earth. The ritual here for 70+ years, since Pete's opened in 1949, has been for the kitchen to daily make their own tortillas, wash, rinse, and cook fresh beans, and follow time-honored recipes that Pete and his wife originated back in the day. I hate greasy chili rellenos smothered in average cheese and limp and basically tasteless. My favorite rellenos, maybe not yours because it's unlikely you've had one encrusted and deep fried, are what Pete's family has made for decades. Oh man......... I'll be back in the next month to sample the wares again and choose a different entree or combo plate. I cannot begin to express how their food was so tasty, perfect, and filling. Ooops, I just did!”

This is a very nice local coffee shop located on one of the main roads in Cicero at the intersection of Jackson St and Byron St. Parking is not an issue; there are plenty of free parking spots along Jackson St and Byron St. In addition to serving very high quality coffee, the layout of the coffee shop itself is well thought out and comfortable. The restaurant is very clean and presentable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dark Side Coffee House easily competes with local coffee shops in other cities. I highly recommend this shop.”

“While in Winnetka I looked up restaurants that serve breakfast all day and found this location. Its in same building as bowling alley and we couldn’t hear anything from bowling in the restaurant. I was with my daughter and she had cheeseburger and French Fries. I had Uncle Kenny’s Famous Winnetka Rock and changed biscuit to sourdough toast. I made a sandwich and added side of bacon. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The menu is big and they serve beer and wine. The prices were reasonable. The service was good and friendly.”

Steak appeared to be cooked perfectly, between rare and medium rare, it just wasn't chewable throughout. I love this place because it has the absolute best chicken fried steak, possibly I've ever had. The chicken fried steak combined with the awesome gravy will leave you wanting more, biscuits are perfect and the gravy absolutely amazing, the flavor is unmatched, and it's thick enough to stand a spoon up in. The sweet potato fries as my potato substitute, we're perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This is one of my absolute favorite places of all time for breakfast and lunch, because of the excellent service and always excellent food... It's just not a steak place for me, keep in mind I was raised vegetarian so I've always had a love-hate relationship with steak, because I didn't grow up chewing on it.”
