“5 stars for the bakery - nowhere else in Monroe (at least outside Main St) has daily (twice daily sometimes) fresh-baked, FRESH bread from an in-store bakery. It's so much better tasting than the packaged/brand name loaves. The Italian loaf is my favorite, but today they also had garlic & herb French loaf. And they sell it sliced and unsliced. The bakery staff are really nice and helpful. Because it's fresh bread, it will go stale after one or two days. This is kinda what I want as it means it's not full of random emulsifiers and stabilizers to keep it "fresh" for weeks on end (like the branded loaves in the normal supermarket aisle).”

“I've been shopping here since I was about 13. Almost 30 years. It's still the same. Even with a new look. Good clothes at a good price. But, my experience there this last time was above and beyond. I had bought a pair of shoes for a wedding. And, having cash on me. I paid cash. And put the receipt in my wallet. Just in case I needed to return them. Which, I did need to. So. I proceed to the service desk. And produce the receipt from my wallet. To my disbelief. Most of the ink on the purchase number had been rubbed away from the friction in my wallet. But, despite the very limited information I could them. The manager there at the time, Sang. Was able to look it up and provide me with my refund. She went above and beyond. And thats how customer service is supposed to be. I will keep coming back here. Just because of this one interaction. And recommend anyone else as well.”

“Neighborhood target store selling clothes, electronics, beer and liquor, toys, and many other items. Also has a grocery department with vegetables, fruit, and frozen/fresh food. Target also has a built-in Starbucks and a Pizza Hut. The lines here can get very long and expect to wait both for purchasing and also at the Starbucks. Other than that, this is a great neighborhood Target with almost everything you could need. Parking is great and the location is in a safe neighborhood and located near major highways and byways. Store is kept clean and very well stocked. There was plenty of staff around to help with questions. The parking lot was organized without carts everywhere. Overall, this is great and what you can expect from a Target that is well-run (except for the long lines).”

“Very rude staff. Two days in a row I've tried to cash my paycheck now. Yesterday I got here at 7:30 pm and even though their website says money service is open until 11:00, it was closed. Today I get here at 10:00 am and money service is closed because the lady went to lunch. So, I decide to wait. Some snarky little manager lady says I can't wait in the area. I explain I'm waiting for money service to open back up, I don't have enough gas to go anywhere else, and I don't feel well. I have a bad heart and this kind of stress, I do not need. She did not care. It took another employee to step up and bring me a stool to sit on. Now I'm being watched like a hawk, because apparently they think I'm up to no good. I was going to do some shopping after cashing my check. I need about 100.00 worth the items. Instead I'm going across the road to Target. I know my little 100.00 means very little to Walmart, or they wouldn't treat a very loyal customer, in the past, like I'm nothing in their eyes. I've dealt with this type of treatment from the Vadnais Heights, MN, Walmart for about a year now. I will not spend another dime at a Walmart store ever for the rest of my life. They treat customers like dirt.”

“I had to return some Christmas lights they weren't working adequately exchange was easy I asked for some help and they call someone and brought me right back to where I thought they might be and they were and I wanted to get Blue lights instead of white lights like I had gotten and it was no problem I enjoy shopping at Walmart because when I ask questions about an item that may not be findable they either find it right away or they tell me that it is not in stock at the moment but will be within a couple of days. That helps out tremendously because of the price of gas running to and from different places or back to the store at least I know to wait a couple of days and it's convenient and it's clean 🪥”
