“It is VERY hard to find a Hapkido studio in the bay area, much less a good one. Grandmaster Charles Hwang is one of the kindest and most patient instructors I've ever met. He is also very intelligent. I'd dare to say he's overqualified to teach as he directly studied under Young Sul Choi who was the founder of Hapkido. Having a PhD in Oriental Medicine, he is able to teach the pressure points and inner knowledge of Hapkido needed, combining the techniques with knowledge of health, as it was taught in the past.”

“I started attending classes here a little more than a year ago. Before then, I had been living a largely sedentary lifestyle. Sure I worked out, did some fitness studio classes, and assumed I was fit. But the type of shape I got into after dedicating to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under New Creation is on a whole other level! I lost ~15 additional pounds. I've gotten more disciplined about what I eat and my supplements. I don't get fatigued toward the end of the day. And my mood is much more even. “Brought my daughter down to train from our School in Detroit (Metro Jujitsu) who’s an affiliate with Alvarez. It was a very welcoming experience from the time that we informed them that we were coming and through out our visit they were very accommodating. These guys are all about jujitsu and has the hardware 🥇to show for it. I was really impressed with the facilities and and the straight forward teachings that my daughter obtained from the kids coach. Shout out to Coach KJ for showing the ability to identify my daughters weaknesses and strengths almost instantaneously and helping her strengthen her jujitsu from the time that we spent there ! With that said she has ask when is the next time we will go down to train .”
