I was at Dollar General on Old Spanish Trail on April 11th, 2023..it was just about closing time. For anyone reading this...wow yall...I haven't seen people with positive management skills happy to serve their customers...in a VERY LONG TIME.the team of employees looked content and happy to be there. Rare. People nowadays usually look miserable no matter where you go... So I'm disabled...I'm epileptic...I'm not allowed to drive...it's by some odd luck I even got a ride up there to get a few things..I also splurged on some candles. By the time I got home, I realized I had left my candles there. Since it was hard to find a way up there, I called the store and asked if they could just put the candles back on my debit card (thinking it might be saved in system)...I found out I would still have to be up there with the card. Devon, the day shift Manager, offered up to bring them to my address after his shift. Yet another jaw dropping moment from this store! Not only that but the friendly smile, friendliness, and willingness to go that serious extra mile for me?? Just .. wow's me..it warms my heart. Thank you Dollar General on Old Spanish Trail”

God bless..I would like to share a very expiring experience I had with my last visit to this store about an hour ago..very lengthy so bare with me it's worth it...I went to the store to return something and a very polite employee (Young lady)..get to that in a minute..was very polite and helpful and busy stocking her store.. stopped what she was doing and really took time out of her busyness to help me .ok..I left the store.. after I got home I was so impressed.. riding a bike mind you that I went back to tell her how appreciative I was and grab a bag of ice and a two liter of soda .which I did ..I went out to get my ice and realized that I only had one bag and went back in to get another one.. laying my (PHONE)!! Yep.. down in ice machine..to go in to get the other bag..and I was so moved by her kindness I got on my bike and left my phone on the ice machine...went home not knowing that..put my ice up after getting a glass of soda .sat down and was going to go to dollar general website and give her (a at a girl...).. and couldn't find my phone..my phone is 7 years old .and contains all the evidence of my nasty Divorce that my attorney committed suicide from because he was going to be arrested and my mother passed away from Camp lejune as well as me being a victim to.. everything was on my phone..I looked at the clock and saw I only had 6 minutes left to get there..not knowing if it was there or not..I made it in 4.. and low and behold a customer found it on the ice machine and turned it in..wait that's not all..I get my phone and catch my breath..by this time i really need a smoke i know nastyist habit on earth..but. I realized that I left my cigs .. money wallet everything at home..and she says to me (no worries Hun)..and bought me a lighter...goes to show you..there are a few good people left in this very troubled world 🌎.. I'm still so moved by this... and when possible which won't be long .I'm going to make her (Cass or Cathy)?? When she told me her name I was very frantic..as well as Erica who did a very nice thing also .see earlier review.. very happy and going to reward them very generously..for there kindness.. there needs to be more people in this world like them. “I purchased a Redstone RS-3626 to install into an existing gas fireplace in my home. I had researched many other brands but kept coming back to this model. I did the install myself but spoke with a couple local fireplace companies and they all recommended this brand. They all gave it a high rating. The prep of the space took much longer than the actual install did. The only thing I did not understand was that the larger trim kits that can be purchased separately are really not meant to be cut to fit. I thought I could cut it to fit the setback of the brick facade. At least I did not have that skill. This unit need to be installed onto a finished surface for best results. I ended up trimming with wood and painting it black before the very easy install. I used the provided trim kit. I thought I would just keep the natural fire look but there are so many color combinations, I change it almost every day to "set the mood" for the day. I like the wild color combos.”

“I went to a taco festival in Virginia and here I purchased a beautiful handmade pitcher style vase painted deep blue with sunflowers depicted. Heather was nice enough to hold the vase so I didn’t have to carry it the whole festival and…. I ended up leaving it behind. I live in CT so I was not going to be returning. I texted Heather and asked if she could please ship me the vase, and she was amazing about the whole process. The vase will now be shipped out with their online orders now that she is back home!
