“This was our family’s first trip to Grand Lake, but it certainly will not be our last! The entire vacation rental area had a resort like feel. The pool are was so relaxing and right outside our cottage. The cottage itself, The Captain, was beautifully decorated, wonderful furnished and well organized. Everything you need was provided: towels, fully stocked kitchen utensils and cookware. Check-in and out was a breeze, and the office staff was incredibly responsive. We will definitely be visiting again.”

“My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 5 days at the Bailey House! The Purdy's shared their vast knowledge of President Grant and his boyhood home which we found so interesting. The Bailey House has its own history and is filled with beautiful antiques. The breakfasts were very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Wonderful hosts!! We'll be back!”

“This was our second time staying at the Ringling Beach House. It is a great location, an easy walk to Siesta Key village or the beach. The apartments are very comfortable, clean and well stocked with basics, towels, snacks, water and coffee and importantly, the beds are very comfortable. The pool was very clean, good sized and well appointed with plenty of seating for gathering. The staff was available and very helpful throughout our stay. A great experience! Thank you”

John was communicative and checked in with us before the event to see if numbers and timing needed to change. “Went for a friend's wedding. Nice setting, if a little on the rustic side. You could easily walk the town in a few hours and then go to Madrid for lunch and window shopping. It does get warm here in the summer and it can be buggy, so be prepared. I'm betting it's nice and dark at night, so I'm contemplating going in September when it starts to cool down. “Stayed in the efficiency room, two beds (1 twin and 1 full) with kitchenette. We had a peekaboo ocean view from the room! Loved the keypad entry (no keys to bring down to the beach), free beach chairs and umbrellas to use down by the beach (you bring down and bring back), we didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and the water was a comfortable temp. Loved the location because it wasn’t too crowded but still close by to shopping and attractions. Probably the most notable of the whole stay was the staff! They were so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Honestly, I felt like I had stayed there before and we were longtime friends. The facilities include access to laundry on off hours - for those who might be staying for more than a few days. We knew that this was going to be an older Florida beach hotel, so expected there to be some quirks. The biggest one we came across was the bathroom was dated and the tub wasn’t able to be shut off all the way - constant small steam of water. I let the staff know and they stopped by and manhandled the faucet shut. We just weren’t able to provide the necessary force to turn the water all the way off. The location and price were well worth the few quirks and we will be returning to this location in the future.”

“After having to deal with living in a Sun Communities neighborhood it was such a pleasure to move to this neighborhood. The ownership is accommodating, responsive, friendly and actually cares about their residents. Hate that we had to leave the area and should we return we will be looking to come back to one of their locations. As with everything there were issues but they were dealt with correctly and in a timely manner. I really did not expect the owner to show up at 10pm on a Saturday to unclog a sewer line for us. Got it handled and replaced the drainage pipe the next day. Great people, great location and great residents. Hope to be back someday soon.”

“Great place for fall fun! Family friendly hayrides, pumpkin picking, all of the fall activities can be enjoyed at Cheeseman Farm. Pumpkins picked at the patch are reasonably priced 50cents/lb. A variety of food is available, including pizza, popcorn, and funnel cake. Credit cards accepted with a small processing fee. The farm transforms to Cheeseman Fright Farm in the night. Haunted hayrides and attractions. Open Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays”

“This is the best place I've ever stayed, and it was off season. (Update below). I've been around the world, I've stayed in a lot of places, but this place offers a cozy room with fireplace overlooking a vineyard, private patio, evening wine and cheese, full breakfast, and free bicycles. With less than 10 rooms on site, you get a quality experience. I do not want to say more, because I don't like to share too many secrets about my favorite places, but I'll promise to update this if it ever becomes the second best place. Update: Still the best place. I did finally find something to complain about. I wouldn't be an honest reviewer if I did not mention it. The fan in the bathroom is on a switch and a steam sensor. There are times when I want the fan to run without steam buildup in the room.”

“I really love Dan and Ruth Ann. I’ve been staying at the Raven regularly since early 2019 and I always look forward to it. Things I especially love: it’s a fairly scent free home so it’s really good place for people with chemical sensitivities, the beds are comfortable and clean, and Dan and Ruth Ann do their very best to work with people who have food sensitivities. Oh, and having deep philosophical conversations with Dan while he cleans is also a big plus for me 😁”
