“What a beautiful hike up Vivian Creek Trail. It was challenging due to how steep it was, not really technical though. The trees are huge and wonderful and the creek adds a serene touch bumping up the visual feels. A must check out hike. The camp sites seemed nice as well with clean bathrooms on site.”

“Friendly, helpful staff greeted us. Our room was perfect. Clean, furnished nicely, good air/heating system. Located right at the edge of Shipshewana so it was close to everything. Breakfast each morning lasted until 10a.m. - good for those of us that like to sleep in. It was buffet style and also they took your orders for personal omelettes. Also had breakfast meats: bacon and sausage. Loved the make-it-yourself waffles. Syrup was warmed. Yummy. Fruit, eggs, all kinds of breakfast foods. At night you can sit around a campfire🔥. Very comfortable. Didn't visit the pool or exercise room. Checking out was easy and quick. Staff is soooo friendly.”

“This place is lovely and so tranquil. It is challenging to find availability; you can't really be spontaneous and have to think ahead. It's perfect for a family. Near town. Complete kitchen. A room with a king bed and bathroom and then a smaller room with two twin beds and a huge loft area with a queen bed. The deck and bridge to the campfire area can get slippery after a big rain or snow, but they've done a beautiful job with creating outdoor space to enjoy your time. None of the outdoor spaces are covered unless you want to sit in a smaller space under the deck, but that's not nearly as nice. It's a great little getaway cabin!”

“We were on a five week tour of the country from Florida. Some of our favorite memories included staying at the Sandhill Crane Bed and Breakfast. From the minute we met our hosts at the door it was like meeting up with old friends. Our room had such a comfortable feeling that was so relaxing. “This place is great! Absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of hiking trails with some spectacular views some that overlook the desert (I know a desert view doesn't sound impressive, but believe me when I say, it is indescribable!) and a few more trails that lead to the two nearby lakes, Big Laguna Lake and Little Laguna. All trails are well maintained and relatively flat making them ideal for novice hikers and those with children. The bathroom facilities were the most pristine I have seen an any campgrounds. The camp host were friendly and helpful. Dogs are allowed both in the campground and the nearby trails, but must me kept on a leash at all times. There is potable water for drinking and washing dishes. There are also shower facilities that can be used for a small fee ($1 for 4 minutes) Fires are permitted in fire pits, but you cannot bring your own wood to help avoid the introduction of any foreign insect species. That said the camp host makes several rounds throughout the day with fire wood that can be purchased for $7 a bundle (two bundles last us the night). There is also a nearby general store with basic needs and a small selection of souvenirs. Just down the the street from the store is a restaurant. Admittedly I have never be inside as we were there to camp and get away, but the option is there. All and all, I would highly recommend this location, especially to families with children and pets, but there is something for everyone.”

“We brought our Girl Scout troop here in May of 2017 and had a fantastic time. It was a huge plus for us tired leaders as all the activities and meals were led by the staff. We got to participate and enjoy all the programs with our scouts. All of the staff were so nice and it felt like we were part of a big family. The lodgings were comfortable and the surroundings beautiful. Our girls loved the archery, ropes course, craft time, fishing, fencing, hiking and more. I highly recommend this for troops wanting a weekend camping experience with all the tradition but none of the hassle. A great price for all that is included.”

“I had an incredible seven days of classes and on-the-water instructions from outstanding instructor Capt. Barnard Meyer. We were able to rapidly go from minimal knowledge of sailing to feeling very confident in our abilities. I was able to take the 101/103/104 classes in sequential order during the week. I would recommend this for anyone that wishes to charter bare-back sailing or just to be ready for having fun. After seven days of on-the-water training of man-over-board drills, tacks/jibes, you get very comfortable with what you have been taught. We were able to sail past the Key Lime Sailing Club ATON fixed beacons with confidence with narrow clearance. The trip up through the ICW (intercostal waterway) was an excellent way to measure our progress by charting our course and validating what we were taught. Please give yourself this gift, and take the sailing lessons that you will treasure. Bonus: If you stay at the Key Lime Sailing Club units, after you pass your 101 classes, you can take the sailboats out yourself for extra fun and learning, as they are included in the cost.”
