“I was only there to visit family for a few hours. The view was wonderful. I did see that there was an office and I went over at least 4 -5 times to see if I could get more information about how I can book a room for future vacation and had questions about the tree house but it was closed the whole time for my visit. Also, parking was very very limited. 1 car per room it seemed. The view was breathing taking. The fridge in the room looked a little uncomfortable on how it was sitting in a untraditional space in the kitchen.”

“This is our new favorite place to camp that's close to home, but very quiet, and the restaurant is just as awesome... Fishing, swimming, boat rentals, and day access... Best of all, the one time, that Google Maps leads you to the right place!!! And no google maps, the Campground is not a Building... and it's actually the second left, that you enter, not the first, but thank you for your valiant effort, we all need Google Maps, Lol-ing...Very excellent Family Place, thats how they treat you here!!! “It's a beautiful jem of an Inn. Off the main highway so it is peaceful. Rooms are very clean. I stayed in the family suite, which features a living area with kitchenette and it has a separate bedroom with two queen beds. The fireplace is a nice touch for snowing nights. Lots of outside space with chairs, awnings, and BBQs. I recommend the Vintage Lakeside Inn. And I'm really hard to please.”

One of the staff even took a group picture for us. Granbury was a charming town with friendly people. It was a very nice weekend getaway.”

“The Otesaga is a grand old resort hotel that has been gracefully brought into the 21st century. Our room is beautiful and comfortable. Climate control is easy to use and does the job. It isn't easy to make a historic building ADA compliant. I'd give the Otesaga a B, as a guest with mobility and hearing issues. Entering the building through a side entrance is a bit of a downer. The bed in our room was high enough to provide a challenge. However, the shower with bench in the bathroom was great, as was the turning room in both the bedroom and bathroom. We've enjoyed our stay very much.”

“It's as nice as your gonna get for the price they charge. For $55.00 a night and only a $5.00 refundable cash deposit is not expensive at all. Of course it could definitely use some upgrades but what place couldn't. With upgrades would most likely come with upcharge! The day time staff "front desk, maintenance, & cleaning staff" are all very friendly and attentive to any requests or concerns. Upon arrival of our last visit I had to clean the hair and soap from the shower drain as well as the toothpaste and hair in the sink. I went to the office to ask for cleaning spray when I informed them what needed to be cleaned. They provided the cleaners I asked for and was very apologetic for having checked into the room in that condition. I ran into their cleaning girl when I returned the cleaner, she was very apologetic and felt bad. I reassured her its not a huge deal, it happens to us all at some time, especially during the first month of a new job. I know I've been there a time or two myself. So with the person to person communication with the staff definitely helped my rating and review for our stay at their establishment!”

“This campground is lovely, has a lot of events to keep you happy and entertained if you enjoy being busy. Great owners/employees who know everyone and are very welcoming. Great playground areas for the kids. Always something to keep my kiddo busy and having fun, also an arcade that she loves. Great neighbors that have become great friends. We moved from a nearby campground mid-season, losing out $ on that one, but was well worth it with what we received from Shawnee. Love this campground and can't imagine a better place for us!”

“Rose Canyon Campground is a lovely getaway into the cool forest. Lovely vegetation and some interesting critters can be found here. Great for a night or two away from the city. It is quite popular so if you're plan to reserve a spot for the weekend do so at least a month in advance. First come first serve spots fill up fast on the weekend too. Due to it's popularity it might be hard to get away from all of humanity, tho most fellow campers are respectful. The facilities are limited (pit toilets and drinking water spigots) but clean and well maintained. The staff here is respectful and courteous. Great spot to camp.”
