“This hotel cost me $52 plus the fees for my dogs. For that price, it gets 5 stars. The room was on the second floor towards the back and it was clean and seemed updated to me. It did smell kind of like used to be a smoking room but otherwise was just fine for a stop on a road trip where we just needed some sleep.”

“Very nice campground! A gem of city parks. We were in site 40 on the waterfront with W/E. We enjoyed watching all the birds and playful squirrels. Our site was somewhat level, but did require some blocks, but that’s what we carry them for! Camp hosts very friendly and helpful. Huge bundles of firewood at five dollars each. Staff leaves the office at 5:30 so it’s best to arrive prior to that. They do list reservations on the door when closed, but you don’t get the code to get out of the gate that closes at eight. Bathrooms are modern and fairly nice, with plenty of warm water, but they could’ve been a little cleaner. We felt very safe. We will stop back through. .”

“Our new favorite spot! If you want quiet, real quiet, away from it all with full hookups and well groomed grounds this is your place. It’s not fancy, no playgrounds, splash pads or other amenities just a basic, clean, quiet park. Most of the back section is full timers but the front seems to have more short term visitors and it is near the beautiful pond area that has benches and swings around the perimeter. The owner is super helpful and took us to our site but offered us an open shaded one on the way which we took. He helped us back in, whipped out a tape measure to ensure our slides would clear the hookups and offered a water hose if ours didn’t reach (it did but recommend 50’ of water hose at some sites). There is no traffic, no kids or adults racing around on golf carts with music and lights and the ducks are nice! We asked about a restaurant and were guided to a tiny little place about 2 miles away where pretty much everything is fried (we had catfish, fried pork chops, fried jalapeños) and it was tasty. If you want to get away from it all and feel like it, this is the place. We already made two more reservations!”

“Extremely hospitable, very helpful in the fishing boats, and everyone was very easy to talk to. Loved the experience from the time we got there to the time we left, no negatives. Did not stay the night at the cabin, but being in there it was very cozy and definitely had the “southern charm” we have at home. Went after Bull Reds and caught 12, landed 6 of those. All very big fish, fishing spots were not crowded and was very easy to fish (i.e. not hangy no limbs etc.) Will definitely be visiting again!!”

The Oliva family made us feel welcomed throughout our entire visit. We're not the only ones who feel that way, as the locals can't get enough of this place! The innkeepers have truly created a wonderful space for everyone to enjoy all year long. They have built up a great community there. We got to enjoy a Kentucky Derby party while we were there! The rooms are lovely: clean, comfortable, modern and well decorated. The gathering area downstairs is inviting and fun. The Inn is within walking distance of anything you might need while in Corolla. We are hooked and will be back again!!”

“Cabins can sleep 2-3 persons. If you have 4 or more, multiple cabins necessary. Shady, with good views of the prairie or water hole. Animals crowd there at dusk and before dawn. Lots of activity. Great sunset, goodly number of stars. Great stay for grandkids or kids. Taking "behind the scenes tour is a great addition. Purchase of campground visits gives you free admission to park. Breakfast included. May look pricey, but with all you get, it is a bargain. Plus it helps the animals and humans learn alot.”

“A lovely little spot to spend your vacation. A very quiet small resort with smaller rooms that are well equipped for a longer stay with full kitchenettes, dishes, and refrigerators. The beach is small but beautiful and has plenty of seating. The restaurant next door had amazing Italian cuisine as well if you don't feel like cooking. The staff is friendly and happy to accommodate your needs. I would definitely stay here again. Pro tip- if you are a light sleeper I would not recommend the divers dens because they are near the road and there is some road noise. The coves and beach houses are further into the resort and are very peaceful. If you sleep heavy the divers dens are an awesome option as they are a little roomier.”

“Clean Campground and RV hookups. My parents came up and stayed a week and they're 41 ft RV with a tow behind and had no problem parking. They got a miniature golf course for the kids a water park in the summertime with fountains and splash stuff to play with but no slides. Staff was friendly and Lake taboo is just down the street for a peaceful day fishing.”

“In my 56 years I’ve never once left a review for anything. This hotel and its Manager Jacky have been so wonderful I felt compelled to write this review. I flew in for a funeral and spent four days at a Best Western in Burleson. There was nothing wrong with the best western and I stay with them often, but as a comparison, this hotel and my room here were far superior. This is in fact an older hotel, so if you are expecting new that will not be the case. But if you are expecting a clean comfortable room, you will not be disappointed. I always read the reviews of new hotels before I decide to book a room. And I almost didn’t stay here because of one of the reviews. Most of the members of our family are staying here so I decided if it wasn’t horrible I would go ahead and get the room. One family member had already checked in and I asked what it was like. They said it’s older, but it’s clean. So hearing that I walked in to get my room and two others for family members. The first thing I noticed was that the lobby, bar, and breakfast room were very clean. I actually checked them first before I committed to the room. Jacky the manager and I think he is the owner as well, was very professional and he knew from the other family member why we were here. He made every effort to get us all on the same floor and with connecting rooms if possible. He even gave us discounted rates and he surely didn’t have to. Once I went up to my room, I was extremely impressed. The detail in the room, such as the way they ornately hang the towels was a great touch, and a sign of the great management this hotel has. I went down stairs to tell Jacky in person how impressed I was, and that I almost didn’t stay here because of that one review. I told him he must be a great manager, as attitude reflects leadership, and the employees here all have great attitudes and work ethic. That evening my daughter went and had some drinks in the bar and was crying. He was very kind and tried to console her. I have walked out of hotels before for being dirty, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel. If I ever need to stay in Weatherford, TX again, I will make it a point to stay here. If you want a super high end and expensive stay, this is not your place. But if you want cleanliness, comfort and value, then the Clarion is the perfect place for you.”
