“This is our first time in this RV park in Julian. It was recommended by a friend. I called to make a reservation and the person who I talked to was friendly and answered my question. I requested for a secluded spot and the one we were assigned was spacious for our RV Trailer & vehicle. The site was partial hookup and the RV park has 2 dump areas. The building in front of the reception area has a clean bathroom with showers. We had our son’s dog with us and it was a dog friendly park. There was a dug out fire pit and it was nice to finally have a campfire. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with the exception of the wasps during our meals outside. They seem to like meat.”

“Had our Hamvention at this site. I was quite impressed at the cleanliness of the site. Even though it had rained the day before there were only a few damp areas. The food at the different providers was often very good. Very upscale for fairground food but the cost was very reasonable. The buildings were clean and had good air movement so even though it was humid and over 90 outside it was very nice in the open buildings. The bus transportation from the remote parking was outstanding and Free! Greene county and the sheriff office had a very organized system. This has been my best experience at the hamvention in Dayton/Xenia!”

“Stayed here in 2020 from August thru end of December. The Meighen's are great hosts, very attentive and accommodating to help get you settled in. After that they check in now and then and keep a good eye on the place. The parking spots are large, the country setting very pleasant, and the place is well kept. I would highly recommend this park for a short stay or long.”

“Great hotel especially if you have dogs. They normally take two border collie sized dogs but they let me bring in a third for the night and they only charge $10 per dog. The room was clean and everything worked. I was glad to see that there was no carpet just faux wood flooring. Carpet can get suspect and this was nice and clean and great for dogs. I was surprised how quiet it was. I thought being so close to everything it would be a noisy night but it was great. Can’t speak to the breakfast as I did t get down there in time. They also extended the move out time of 11a to 12 for which was great as there was some serious snow to deal with on my car. Great to know of a good place to send my dog people when they come to town. The room was $80 a fair price for what I received.”

“I believe we stayed in #4, not #2. We stayed at the piney nook cottage for our honeymoon. The location was perfect as it had direct access to the beach. It was very close to restaurants and other attractions. The only issue we had during our stay was ants, many many tiny ants crawling on the kitchen counters but I was able to rid of them on our first nights stay. We had no other problems for the entire duration. It was very quiet, very cozy. The cottage included everything we may need, though my husband was looking for a meat thermometer and couldn't find one. We will most likely return in the future.”

“This barely fell short of 5 stars.. I often think the money the these places bring in could def always have more money put back into them. Bathrooms were decent. Having laundry is a big plus. Seems like most long term campers take up all the good spots which is disappointing. That being said I would try it again when it’s warmer out to check out all the amenities, seems like lots to do when the weather is better! Has potential to be really fun here!”

“I attended a TFS Properties seminar in early 2019 at suggestion by a friend because I was contemplating on selling an investment property and executing a 1031 exchange. “My husband and I were the first couple to get married at The Neal House! The owners were fabulous to work with and VERY accommodating. I am in the Tourism industry and could have chosen many event spaces to get married, but working with the owners sealed the deal for me! We got married on the front porch, had our reception on the back patio and under the trees in the gorgeous backyard. It was absolutely perfect and just what we wanted! The long driveway as my bride entrance was a bonus (see photos). It's a gorgeous drive through horse country, too!! Another reason we chose The Neal House was because our out-of-town guests could spend the night rather than stay at a hotel. Our guests still talk about the comfortable beds, huge bedrooms and baths (all bedrooms are suites!), and how much they loved all the space to spread out. We had 19 people spend the night, including us in the master suite on the first floor. Our guests loved that we had comfortable patio furniture from the sunroom setup under the trees and white lights in the trees, candles on the tables, and tiki torches for just the right amount of ambiance for a July evening wedding. For some reason, the men decided to celebrate with a cigar (not cigar smokers!) in front of the sunroom and turned out to be one of our favorite groomsmen photos. We also set up the cake in the sunroom and everyone came gathered around. The caterers loved the huge kitchen for prep and the easy access to the patio for the buffet setup. Our musicians loved playing under the trees in the front and backyard. We were there for 3 days and not one single complaint! A bride can't ask for more than that! I have referred several brides to The Neal House and they have loved it!”
