“Have to admit, wasn't expecting a Comfort inn to be this nice. I think they just redid everything, literally that or it was just built. Lots of other places will half repair stuff, but this place was updated quite nicely, no shortcuts in the updates that I could see. Seemed like whoever owns this place cares, and want to provide an excellent facility along with a reasonable price. Breakfast quality of food was lacking, but there was a decent spread. I hope the get better biscuits, gravy, and eggs, but the waffles, sausage, and potatoes were good enough. Had several juice options, and multiple cereal options. Again, real surprised at how nice it was.”

“We had our wedding here in July. Kathy and Dave spent a lot of time to make sure everything went well and made accommodations for our group. They were easy to work with. They were upfront with providing information but also be sure to read your contract thoroughly. We stayed overnight and the rooms were very clean, comfortable and organized. Breakfast was outstanding! Dave and Kathy are wonderful to converse with; they have so many interesting stories to share. We had an overall great experience and look forward to staying again for a future anniversary.”

“I stayed here on Oct 7, 2022, while traveling From South Texas to Iowa for work. I am an older female, traveling alone, so I really look around where I chose to stay. Working on the road, I stay in hotels/motels a lot. I will admit, when I pulled into the parking lot I was concerned. There were no cars in the parking lot and it looked nothing like the pictures online. There are two other hotels, right there, and I quickly looked them up online. Those reviews were less than favorable (noise, theft, etc) so I took a chance and went into this place. Yes, the lobby had a "smell". The owners are of Indian decent and it smelled like Indian food. They live there...so it smells like what they cook. The man that met me at the desk was VERY nice and I could hear his baby's giggles from the next room. I was extremely tired and he was very accommodating. Compared to the other two hotels (with bad reviews) with very crowded parking lots and sketchy people hanging out nearby, the price was spot on for a quick one night stay on my way to somewhere else. I paid for my room and drove around to my door. I like being able to park right in front of the room door and not having to trek in and out through a lobby. First thing I ALWAYS do is check for bed bugs, before I carry anything inside. Then I check the cleanliness of the toilet and shower. It was fine. It's an older motel so it's NOT a HILTON....but I don't want to pay HILTON prices to stay somewhere for 8 hours. So...I pick my battles. By Midnight, there were two other cars in the parking lot. I got inside and settled. I am a smoker so I go outside. I rolled the desk chair outside and felt completely safe sitting outside, mostly alone. Check in and out was a breeze. Nobody messed with my vehicle. I slept well. It was very inexpensive. I had one complaint but I left and said nothing. The room I was in had no hot water in the morning for my shower. I let it run for about 20 minutes, just in case. It was still lukewarm. I took a cold shower. I slept very well, so I needed that wake up call, anyway. Again, picking my battles. I leave Texas for Iowa again in the morning. I hope I can make it to this place for my first night stay. I WILL check the hot water this time, though, and I will state that when checking in, so the owner knows what my expectations are...cause it's more winter now and I'm too old for cold winter showers. There is a Casey's gas station (they have breakfast foods) across the road and a McDonald's next to that. It's an easy on and off the main highway and it's pretty flat if there is inclement weather. I had a good experience at this Motel. I hope you do, as well. I will leave another review if my next stay is any different.”

“I enjoyed it. Few things: They have wooded areas as well as what I call the parking lot. We were in the "parking lot" we had space to pull everything out but we also were woken up a few times by the neighbors as they were out walking around in the gravel. The sites in the wooded area you must pay attention to the map when choosing sites. Some sites were only 30 amps, some sites shared water, etc etc. The tent sites all were on individual risers. There's piers you can fish. I saw 2 playgrounds There is a bigger playground at the marina which is next to the campground . Overall I will call There again. We paid $45 a night. No late night check in but we knew that in advance and planned accordingly.”

“My partner and I decided that instead of paying over a grand a month to an apartment complex, we could pay less to have something of our own. More bedrooms, more bathrooms, more space and a yard. We'll, I have to start by saying that Kelly, the park manager, and the on-site maintenance team are FANTASTIC. I purchased a newly renovated home here this year and Kelly was there every step of the way to help. She provided us a tour and gave us contact information for a mortgage company so we could purchase our home as easily as possible. She was there anytime we had questions and was honest and open all throughout. It took just over a month after looking at the home to get approved for our mortgage and close on the house. I could not have asked for a better experience buying a home and highly recommend Sunrise Estates to anyone looking for a home largely due to Brakemeier taking ownership in the last 10 years and cleaning it up around here with Kelly at the reigns. She, and they, have done wonders here.”

“My husband and I have been full-timers here for the last 2+ years and we love living here. We looked at a dozen places from Pleasanton to San Antonio to New Braunfels and we definitely picked the right spot. I’m told that Nancy opened the park about five years ago and there are some who have been here from the beginning and I love that about the place. You just won’t want to leave unless you have to. Nancy also offers several spots for those traveling through for only days or weeks. If you appreciate the outdoors and peace and quiet, this is your place. Last night I fell asleep to the owls communicating. There is a family of foxes that make appearances from time to time and a roadrunner that lives around here. Nancy has cattle in the pasture that roam nearby. My bird feeders are overwhelmed year round and it’s hard to keep up with the hummingbirds from April to October. Who needs amenities when you have nature? For exercise we walk the long driveway, the park roads, or the pasture. We are only 25 minutes from San Antonio and grateful to be living out of the city, yet close enough to go when needed. You won’t find trashy trailers here or loud partiers. There are some rules and that too is why we love it. I noticed there weren’t any updated posts and I hope this helps others to consider this piece of paradise. PS…I have no shortage of beautiful sunset pics but these are my favorites.”

It's so spacious and was ideal for them and all their friends. The whole place has all the amenities you can think of and then some.
