“We were pleased with our stay. For the price I wasn't expecting much, but the room was actually really clean. No bugs, no grime, no stray hairs. Parking is a bit of a challenge especially with a big truck, but we made it work fine. They even left complimentary ear plugs, which cracked me up. Didn't use them, but appreciated the thoughtfulness. Not far from the boardwalk either, which was great. Thanks Riverside. 👍”

“Upon arriving I was very impressed with how clean the room was. Although it was a little outdated, it was in excellent condition and the necessary amenities (towels, TV, heat, refrigerator, stove, shampoo/conditioner, coffee pot, etc...) were all provided. The bed was comfortable and I actually enjoyed the outdated look and feel of the room.. it provided an sense of peace and comfort, a warmth that reminded me of being at a Grandmothers or something. If you're looking for a clean, budget friendly, practical, private stay.. this is definitely the place to be!”

“This motel is a hidden gem! Very clean and spacious. The courtyard has almost a park feel to it. It is family owned and operated and pride in ownership shows. They do not offer microwave or mini fridge but do have coffee in the office. Will definitely be my go to place on my next trip to Carson City. Enjoyed my stay.”

“We came in late at night--not recommended, because our gps was pretty accurate, but not perfect, we got a little lost--but thats on us. Hosts were wonderful, the cottage and bunkhouse are cute and a little quirky. Don't come here if you need a Four Seasons. But if you want a beautiful view off your deck, a very comfortable bed, calm, serene quiet, but close enough to explore all over, this is the place for you. It has a full kitchen and a gas grill on the front porch area, but if you are planning to cook much, you probably should bring food with you. Bring your fishing poles, kayaks, and enjoy. Julie and Rick are welcoming and gracious hosts. We will be back.”

“Room was clean and decent. I was especially happy that the towels and sheets were nice and white. The bed was comfortable and the smelled fresh and clean. There are plenty of pillows, 4 on the bed. The shower floor needs some work. Bathroom floor was clean. Breakfast was a little sparce compared to the Comfort Inn in Madison. There are waffles, cereal, yogurt, apples one morning and juice and coffee. Ice machine needs cleaned. It smelled like mildew.”

“Mostly very enjoyable stay and comfortable one night stay. Good staff and crew; always friendly, cheerful and helpful. Motel is quite close to the main drag of this town, and I do mean drag, as in drag strip. Every 2nd vehicle must have a super loud exhaust and with traffic lights close by, the revving of stopped souped up loud engines and exhausts, then the acceleration noise - unbelievable until well after midnight. get a room way in back. Motel rooms are bit dated and all of them apparently need a 2022 upgrade. Bathroom tub was disgusting, the water spout was broken hanging off, more towels; no tub or shower for us. Breakfast was just, well, OK. Never have cared for powdered eggs, frozen fast food potatoes, or instant orange juice. Waffles were great make your own. I'm not sure if any motels here or even in Albuquerque still have grassy areas for customers' dogs; a shame. We did try the back gravel area and even the vacant lot on the west side of the motel - stay far away due to weed or plant stickers. I don't think we would stay here again.”

I have been coming to this campground for years as it is so well maintained and managed. But what really keeps me coming back are the hosts. In particular this last year, Lee and Rich. They have been amazing! They go out of their way to ensure my stay here at the Vineyards is memorable. I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Lee and Rich and the entire staff at the Vineyards. I will be spreading the word!!! Grateful….”

“Rv'd here during the offseason for a couple weeks. Was mostly secluded. Offered electrical hookup, and they have water during warm seasons. There is a dump site, ask for location. Staff was helpful. There is a bathhouse with shower. Heads-up check their calendar for events schedule. For instance I got home around halloween to find a massive holiday party.”

“I love to listen to the stories of the 96 year head of the lodge. The 40 something Harley rider bron locally tells very different stories as does the woman who fled Communist China for Hong Kong in her youth. The retired Psychology professor is always ready to listen as are all the other members. They are the friendliest group of people I know. Email or call to be invited to lunch the 2nd Tuesday of the month.”

“Jamie and Todd are so friendly and welcoming! The house is beautifully furnished, our room was extremely comfortable and it is perfectly situated near the downtown areal. My boyfriend and I just had our first stay there this weekend and we were so happy with our stay. We enjoyed the social hour from 4-5 and relaxing on the porch in the evening. Jamie and Todd also gave great recommendations for dinner and sightseeing. We were talking about coming back and staying longer before we even left!”
