It would of had 5 stars but the beds they were noisy and not the best but not the worst you could hear the springs in the bed whenever you moved or even sat down on the bed but the staff location made up for it. The room was remodeled it was nice simple and very clean. Would stay there again.”

“I had a great experience staying at Jolly Motel. I booked my stay last minute after deciding that I wanted my own room instead of staying at a hostel, which was also good but was not what I realized I preferred. My room was comfortable and had the amenities listed online. I thought it was great to be across the street from a laundromat and bus stops. The team at Jolly Motel was friendly and they answered all of my questions and offered room service if I wanted to request it. If anyone is looking to stay at a motel in Los Angeles I recommend Jolly Motel!”

“We had a great time at Blair House. The Wimberley Cottage was beautifully remodeled and decorated. The bed was luxuriously comfortable and both bathrooms were spa-like. The turn-down service with wine and dessert in the evening was a nice touch and the food at breakfast was delicious. The staff really go out of their way to make you feel special. The next time we go, we will take our swim suits so we can enjoy the pool. It was a perfect place to enjoy the hill country scenario. We will definitely go back!”

It had a nice homey and cozy feel which made it extremely enjoyable. The location is just a short walk to the beach which made it ideal. If money not an issue you will have a good time. The room was clean, great view of the beach and I had my own balcony. Will definitely come back for a fun weekend. After 9 PM it’s so quiet you can hear the bullfrogs. If it had a pool it would be the perfect park. The grounds are beautiful with flowers and natural landscaping. Very clean bathrooms with large shower stalls. Two washers and dryers. They owners are friendly and laid back!”

Be aware you will need to take bottled water to drink. The water they have comes from a spring. It is okay to shower in.”

“We decided to take a last minute weekend getaway to Madison, and Butterfly house had an opening that met our needs. We arrived to find a gorgeously appointed home with private, comfortable rooms and welcoming hosts. Theresa and Paul made us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms are divided by bathrooms, so there is no risk of hearing other guests. We chose the Magnolia suite for the king size bed, which was adjustable and very comfortable. The location is perfect: far enough away from the tourist district to be quiet and close enough to easily walk everywhere. Breakfast each morning is served at 8:30 and is perfectly delicious and nutritious. Theresa and Paul are also happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions as long as you let them know in advance. They do have 3 adorable, small dogs who will love you as much as you want or leave you alone as much as you want. The experience we had at Butterfly House helped us fall in love with Madison. I can’t wait to go back and stay at Butterfly House again!”

“I have stayed at about half a dozen bed and breakfast in America. This is the best one. The hosts are very dedicated, attentive and hospitable. They responded to email promptly throughout my reservation process. Rob gave me a nice introduction of the place and my room after I checked in to ensure that I was well settled in. It is an old house but the property was well-maintained and nicely decorated. I stayed in the Garden Room on the first floor. It is tastefully decorated. There are a lot of attention to details. For instance, because the door is an old wooden heavy sliding door, there is a curtain to cover the room entrance also for privacy so when I chose to step out to relax in the lounge or living room or just grab water from the fridge, I could leave the room door open without bothering to close the sliding door. Even though the sink in the bathroom is a pedestal sink, there is a small table to put my toiletries. Another great thing is how they serve breakfast. First, they have a menu of items for guests to select the day before and the serving time of breakfast is flexible, so guests can choose to start their day at any time instead of everyone making it to the table at the same time and just asking the guests for their dietary restriction in the reservation. The quality of the breakfast is quite good too. The house is large and there is a lot of space for guests to relax: living room, patio and another lounge with a nice bay window. This bed and breakfast is within walking distance to downtown Mt Horeb and also an easy half an hour drive from Madison. I highly recommend staying here over staying in a Bed and Breakfast/Inn in Madison, which is much more expensive and may not be the same quality. The hosts are friendly and I enjoyed their conversations.”
