“I truly feel like this place is blessed. Chase is amazing. I can’t say enough good things about him. He puts his heart and soul into this park. The owners are wonderful people that we had the pleasure of meeting a couple months ago. My husband and I have met some of our very best friends out here and my children have met some wonderful friends as well within the resort! How refreshing to see children enjoy the outdoors like we used to do as children in this beautiful and safe family friendly community. We could move away but we choose to stay here because we love the simple and minimalistic RV lifestyle and haven’t been a part of a community like this before. We love the RV family we have built out here! Come and stay and experience it for yourself or a month or longer. You won’t regret it. 😊 The free laundry facility and ice have been the best perks ever!”

“I enjoy the polite and genuine gestures from my neighbors and I hope I don't cause anyone any discomfort with my trials and tribulations, just hope we're all similar enough to not forget the times that we've all have had difficulties and sympatheticly understand. I also accept face to face discussion, inquiry, verbal complaints buuut prefer optimistic words of welcome and wisdom...PLEASE NO GOSSIP THATS FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHO THEY ARE, KNOW WHATS RIGHT AND WRONG, ESPECIALLY FOR OTHERS, AND JUST PLAIN....PLAIN, BORED, UNINSPIRED AND ALWAYS TRULY ADMIRED🫅👸”

“Having lived in Louisville before and knowing this area, it's not the best of neighborhoods, but we felt safe enough. There was only one other camper there when we were there. Dante is there on site and is very kind and accommodating. There is Electric hookup right next to your camper, the dump station is around back and you will be guided to it. It's 20 bucks to dump. Simple place to stay. No fancy amenities. But it did the job. We would go back. We ended up riding scooters back and forth because we have a mobile home that we were using to stay in while we were vendors at the art festival at St James Court.”

“This place is really great, they've worked really hard to keep a park like natural setting: very shaded with a lot of trees and surprisingly quiet given the nearby highway. The owner is very responsive and seems genuinely interested in making it a great natural park to stay in. Full hookups and 50a in every spot! Bonham is about ten minutes away and McKinney is about 25 minutes away.”

“I've only visited this place in the autumn and winter, but it's a great hidden little campground. The road to get in is a little rough but is short. I've towed my 34' trailer in and out no problem, even in the snow. Ice might make it too slippery to get up or down the small hill into the campground, though. It has easy access to the river and a couple sites have views of the river. There is a vault toilet. There are no services (no water, no RV dump, no power). There are picnic tables and fire rings. Fort Churchill proper is just two miles up the road and it does have water and an RV dump. I've always assumed it's permitted to go there to get water and dump the tanks if you've paid to stay at Scout Camp. There's a horse corral and manure dump.”

“Tammy was the perfect host. She is so kind, thoughtful and caring. She made sure I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. She even got up extra early to make me a wonderful breakfast before I headed to the train station and she was very careful about all of my many food allergies. No one could ask for a better host. I am so glad I met Tammy and got a chance to stay at her beautiful, cozy and comfortable bed and breakfast. She was such a delight to talk to and I hope I will get the opportunity to stay there again. I highly recommend this wonderful bed and breakfast if you are visiting NE Indiana!”

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Owners were so sweet to talk to! Our room was so clean and such a cute layout! Me and my husband drove all night to get to the hotel and check in time was 4pm. We told the owners and they worked with us so we could check in early to rest. Our stay was absolutely the best stay we have had in a while. Clay City the town itself everyone is so nice and helpful! We feel in love!”

“The staff is amazing and friendly! Most rooms are pretty small but the I guess you could call "suite" has 2 queen beds, a kitchenette and is perfect for long term stays. Walls are pretty thick and multiple stores and restaurants are within walking distance. Rooms are clean also!! 10/10”

“We have been in this park for about 6 years and would not want to be in any other park! Owners worked with us after the storm giving us time to clean up and we were patient enough (an understanding) to give her time to get power restored. Things DON'T happen over night for any of us. This is how our place looks now.”

“Known as a fisherman's paradise, Black Lake is a favorite for anglers. The cottages at McClears are clean and spacious and the owners are friendly and helpful. You will need areservation im advance for a cottage, but the campgrounds and camping cabins usually have a free space. I have been coming here for 25 years and even though I have tried other places on the lake, this is my favorite. It has easy access to the best fishing, the boats work great and it is always a wonderful adventure!”

“I came in midweek and stayed as a walk-in reservation. The camp host was by far the best camp host I ever experienced. Vernon was super helpful and attentive. He shared lots of interesting stories and told me the best fishing holes. Bathroom was so clean for vault toilets in a campground. The sites are spacious and clean. There’s some road noise but it doesn’t bother me at all, and it’s quiet at night. Easy access for fishing too! As a woman camping alone in an area with no cell service I was slightly nervous. Vernon made me feel safe and secure. He told me he’d keep an eye out. He drove by a couple times just to check on me. He suggested I keep my car keys close, if I had any issue or heard anything to set off my panic alarm and he’d be there in a minute. Made me feel at ease, Vernon was very grandfatherly and genuinely cares for the campground, campers and wildlife. I will definitely be going back!”

“Sentenced to 15 months, I got sent behind the walls, as a hardtimer. This was due to prior run-ins with the law. My life in spite of brief moments of of lucidity and brilliant where with all, was spirilling into the depths of loser again and this time I nearly died, got into several fist fights, was high as hell [low] and ended with an altercation at my friends house over his ex girlfriend falsely accusing me of trying too hard to make her my girlfriend. Well to cut this to a couple of paragraphs and not a good long read ... I'll just say, I ended up hurting her ex boyfriend [he attacked me and I defended myself]. I remember seeing him bleeding and taking off from there. Not long after that cops arrested me at my house in Snohomish. I think I had a good chance of beating the charges but I was higher than hell the last time and I did not feel I was going to be represented accurately nor treated fairly, I went fugitive after being let go on bond. it was all the prior stuff that went on between me and the authorities, life in general, and myself --- and it was warped to paranoia by chemical intoxicants. Well here again at where I started this review: I got 15 months... used my time to look at who I really was, find the answers, heal my soul, and be me and not the me of the last 15 yrs. Mind, body, spirit. Exercises daily, push ups etc., but more so just running and moving %90 was playing my old favorite game basketball. Thinking with belief that the future was brighter than ever and that my success was guaranteed, just for faith that it is going to be greatest! So the positive belief mind set thinking mode constantly and the making of interesting friends, is what mends the soul. This is helped by the gratitude that comes from appreciating that i had been given, as most all of us, chances, could now seen and you got to be honest, and saw more, how to win again, and again, and again, and again. Was thankful to GOD that I would make good on this life He gave me ... and felt sadness for buddies here that wanted to live again [some had many more years and a few none but bars] as free citizens. Remember the day and the very moment and exhilaration feelings within me when they called my name to roll my property up and check out of dodge [penitentiary] Had become a renewed individual that knew more of himself was now capable of being and sustaining relationships with good people who had no demons forcing them to live in a duel enemy to thyself and to others as I had for all those past years, and then also now grown strong to be a solid individual, I could not be the antisocial outcast, as I needed to share this power of enabling the inner force of universal "I can" to be the prevailing "belief" of our species. I had become, by relating what this energy I command, from the integral oneness of what we truly are and why then for this we are invincible, the 'True leader, impressive not by intimidation, as a giant, but for that I tell what comes from the most hugest facts, absolute TRUTH! ... What I say is all 'TRUE !!!" ... is why I shall be and know now am [for the future is already accomplished] this ages global prince of people power !!! "I AM THE > !!!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> I plan on editing this sometime in the future my peoples. I got enthusiastic and suddenly rushed to go somewhere and so squeezed the last 200 words into an exuberant burst that seems, well ... , mixed feelings. Look at it later. But I was indeed glad to be leaving. Weird feeling stepping out of there -- and looked back a moment, knowing I was free... thought of the memories and a few faces, take with me... but the friends left trapped would never see again.”

“I’m one of ‘those’ full-timers! I’m one of “those” full-timers (about a year and a half now, with no end in sight) at Pecan Park and I love it here! It is quieter, safer, and with the pecan trees and river access RIGHT there, more beautiful than anywhere else I’ve ever lived (and I had several very nice homes over the years.) I feel like I’m in a little slice of heaven in the country where I don’t do any of the yard work, have access to a pool I don’t have to clean, a wonderful community of folks, both the full-timers and weekenders, and am so close to shopping and whatever else San Marcos has to offer. Did the pool used to have some dumb rules? Sounds like it, but now it’s open for all, and NOT “closed for repairs” like it had been too often in the last year. I know that calls hadn’t been returned in the past (I was one of those really frustrated customers who experienced that for quite awhile) but that is no longer the case. I know that some people experienced not-so-great customer service (I did too), but that ship has sailed. I know that someone’s code for the gate was changed without being apprised, and so was mine some months back. All infuriating for us, the customer, because we weren’t treated like we mattered. Well, the owners, David and Rachael, have recently returned after some years of unforeseen absence, and what a difference. Maintenance people have been hired. Lots of graveling, paving, tree-trimming, painting, pool repairs and other updates were put into place. The office is abuzz with activity and calls are answered, communication is open, and David and Rachael have now been consistently present 7 days a week, all day long. They’ve met with each of the full-timers and other winter Texans to get to know them, and it sure feels like we matter to them. There was no incentive for me to write this review, nor did I get any discounts on my rent or favors. I’m just a retired teacher who thinks it’s important to tell people, and let others know, when they are doing well.”

“Great place to live!! Very quiet, my family and myself can actually walk out our front door and interact with our neighbors cows, which we love to do often, were from a big city, so we appreciate the quiet country life now!! Not far from the city, shopping is within 6 miles, so perfect!! Our maintenance man Jim, goes above and beyond for this community!!! The office has always been extremely welcoming to us, any questions we have had were answered in a reasonable amount of time. I would give this property 10 stars if i could, but there were only 5!! If your family is looking for a quiet place to live i highly suggest this property! We love it here! Sincerely, The Reedus Family”

“Good experience during my 3 night stay at this hotel. Rooms were newly renovated and very clean. Hotel is near tons of retail and food options. Deducted one star only because my key kept deactivating despite not having it near my phone as advised. That was a bit frustrating but the staff was very accommodating and helpful each time it happened which was about once per day.”
