“We love this campground and have had a seasonal site for several years. Friendly, family owned. Super clean and well maintained. They have a Swimming pool, basketball court, playground,Nice bath houses, and 2 indoor activity pavilions for bingo or a pot luck or a family reunion. Thetly schedule a few activities like bingo but it's mostly just a basic calm relaxing place to be. The price is reasonable and it's very safe.”

“We stayed in the larger room, and it was lovely. We didn't get to use the kitchen, other than the coffee maker, but it was ready for us. There's a private yard with a deck and a beautiful garden. The decor is hunting lodge, which isn't my deal, but it was beautifully done. It's right near the fairgrounds, but the hostess said she's had the same guests during the fair for 6 years, so while it's worth calling, I wouldn't get my hopes up. The mattress was a little too hard for my mom's bad hip. The hostess was wonderful. There's parking for one vehicle per room, so if you need more, someone will have to park on the street. Adults only, so it's very peaceful.”

“We stayed here over the weekend and we absolutely loved it. The place is very clean and organized, the kitchen has everything you need to cook a home cooked meal, the living room is so cozy with the fireplace and kids stayed busy with plenty of board games while we watched movies. My kids did not actually wanted to go home, they enjoyed our stay and are already asking when we’ll be going back. Definitely going back soon, maybe on the next snowfall!”

“A really nice and cozy hostel, has all the amenities you'd want! Kind of hard to call this a hostel, as it has a very homey environment with lot's of board games and a shared living room. Really recommended! Kim and Heather are super friendly and let us stay on a short notice, were very welcoming and generous. Bathrooms are newly renovated, and the rooms are awesome. The only downside which wasn't really a bother is that there's no AC, but many fans that work great. Loved the kitchen, has everything you could want in order to cook :) plus a coffee maker!”

“Great place to stay if you are looking to just relax. It's geared more toward workers needing a long term stay. Area is very safe and there is a gate. Bait shop is fully stocked with whatever would be needed for area fishing. Staff and owner are terrific. If you are looking for a new fangled type campground this is not for you. There is no pool or playground . There are residents that live there that are friendly and helpful. It has the feel of South Louisiana in a quaint lil village. not far from many excursions....close to Baton Rouge and about an hr from New Orleans. with many things to see and do in the surrounding areas.”

“I highly recommend this place!!! It has been recently upgraded Tile floors all tile bathroom glass shower door. Very nice , with cable and covered parking . The owners are wonderful people . They really care about their customers. Excellent AC and heater. The best part is it is VERY AFFORDABLE . Current rate is $56 a night wow. I will always stay here when I am in this area. If you are in Plainview don't pay $125 for a room , drive 15 miles down the road and stay here. I was extremely impressed.”

Detailed briefings had been sent to all participants 24 hours before the mission, with very thorough detail and intentionally set up to create some interesting and challenging situations organically during the training exerc. All equipment needed was either detailed in our briefing documents or provided for us when we got there. Safety protocols and equipments checks were thorough and well implemented both before and during the training exercise. Afterward we debriefed the situation - what each of us observed and experienced, our lessons learned and how we wish we would have reacted to specific situations differently, and how we handled the limited information we had to start to inform our decision making throughout the exercise. Extremely valuable training, I recommend to anyone looking to increase their tactical awareness and confidence in high pressure tactical situations.”
