“We are so grateful to have such a welcoming place to call home, in such a great location. We love it here. I am glad they are taking care of the excess cars. If you don't have a sticker for your car, it will get towed. This is honestly the best place I have lived in this price range. Safe, secure, country atmosphere with all amenities available with 15 minutes. The staff are amazing and this is truly a community that cares. They do a lot for the kids which is very sweet. We love Leslie (the manager) and the way she takes care of this property. She definitely goes to bat for her residents.”

“My two daughters and I loveeeee staying Little Frontier Resort! This was our third time and we plan on many more. Ozzy and Robin are so accommodating and make our entire stay so fun for my girls. They really cater to them and make sure that they have the best time possible! “River’s Edge B&B and wedding venue is such an amazing venue! We had our fairytale dream wedding here and couldn’t have asked for anything more. the property is gorgeous with many different options. they have a beautiful king suite for ladies to get ready in, and a nice new mens cabin for the men. the owners were beyond helpful from day one, we had a couple things fall through last minute and Tanya was there to the rescue. I loved having the option to book the venue for the whole weekend, it really helped keep things stress free. The views of the river and greenery is breathtaking, all our guest kept commenting on it. It’s the best place hands down! We plan on renting her air B&B for future anniversaries (they have a hot tub and sauna)! Thanks again for opening your beautiful home to us and our guests!”

“I absolutely loved my two-hour ride with my guide Theresa. Two hour rides are $70 and you get a beautiful ride through the hills of their property. There are some steep uphills and downhills to make the ride fun. Theresa is an excellent guide and I felt relaxed and safe. Great for all experience riders. I’ve already recommended to anyone asking for a great place to ride!”

“New to the community, so impressed with Clarkston Lakes. I purchased an awesome trailer with new flooring throughout and a brand new hot water heater. They also paved a new and larger driveway for me! Looks awesome! After my purchase they left me a thank you card and a nice housewarming gift. Stephanie at the desk was so kind and went above and beyond for me and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Tanya helped with my paperwork and was flexible with me. The wind had knocked some of my skirting, and I was worried because we were expecting heavy snowfall the next day. Maintenance after hours (Freedom) was there in minutes. I couldn’t say enough kind things about Freedom, she was educated in every aspect of how the trailer functions. She taught me so much. She was so caring, nice and considerate. Thank you Clarkston Lakes! So excited to be a part of the community. I have enjoyed every interaction with every staff member I have met so far. Compared to the other parks I looked at, Clarkston Lakes literally blew them out of the water. From the customer service to the homes they offered. I am so happy.”

“A very warm low 80s for end of October! A good campground to overnight or for a couple of days at $28/night. We had FHU on a concrete pad. Everything is gravel or pea gravel and pull throughs. We had CG WiFi, good Verizon, and a bunch of OTA TV channels. During working hours, use the truck gate when you turn off CA 198 at the main gate. Every site has its own garbage can. My only complaint has to do with the check in process. I made the reservation using the toll free number, and the agent couldn't tell me my site number. We tried calling an hour before our arrival, but all we got was the answering machine. So we pulled into the park figuring the MWR folks would tell us at the office. However, there is no office at the campground, and they currently don't have a host. There was no map or directions to tell us where the office is, and no bulletin board or announcement posted as to our site number. We called the MWR number on the welcome sign again, and you guessed it, got the answering machine. Luckily, another camper told us where the MWR office was. We dropped the Jeep and went to the office, and there are 3 ladies there. You think one would be able to answer the phone! I'd say it was a one off situation except the exact same thing happened the next day, except this time I was the guy telling the arrival where to go. Dog park, golf driving range adjacent to campground. McDonald's a short walk away, but drive through only.”

“The room was perfectly adequate for the price point. Clean, comfy beds with plenty of fresh linens. Large showers with great water pressure. Mini fridge and microwave provided. The only thing missing for me was a coffee maker, but I knew about that from a previous trip and brought my own. The pool is fantastic, especially if you're traveling with younger kids, or you just want to chill in the water with a drink. It's got a deeper end, but about 70% of it is 3 feet deep, with lots of lounging areas. The Tiki Bar has a great basic selection of American style favorites on the food menu. Live music on the weekend is a nice touch. The location, right on the river and just across the street their private beach, really can't be beat. I can't wait to see what the boutique rooms look like when they're finished! This place will be a summer time staple with our family.”

“The room is quite nice, although there is no bathtub. (Only shower) The beds were ok and all the appliances we used were fine. The in-room refrigerator is very small though. There was a nice balcony in the room we got. We stayed here with a spa package. Depending on which package you get it can include wine, cheese/meat board, flowers, or a dining credit in addition to the included spa service. The pool was very nice on the 100+ degree days. There was some shade in the late afternoon so no need for sunscreen past a certain time. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating on a few different occasions. They don't offer sit-down breakfast with the room, but they do provide to-go breakfast bags which can work in a pinch. The location here is either convenient if you are doing something in town, or not convenient if you are not doing something right nearby. Come here to enjoy the spa and pool, and less to visit the nearby area.”
