“We stayed here while visiting family in the area. The house was adorable, cozy, and beautifully furnished. All the extra touches the owners added made our stay even more enjoyable. There were plenty of snacks (which was great because we had been on the road for so long), bottled water and coffee, and even homemade cookies with a personalized note waiting for us when we arrived! The area was so peaceful and the landscape was absolutely perfect for relaxing and enjoying our time away from work and the stress of life. We enjoyed the firepit in the evenings and sunrises with coffee in the morning. It truly feels like a different world out there. I've already recommended Max and Barb's to several of my friends and family looking for a nice getaway. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we're in town!”

“We had a very good experience here at Echo Valley!! The people are beyond nice and very generous. They were always easy to get in touch with and always willing to help with anything we needed. Don’t believe any negative that you hear about these people because it is all wrong. I would recommend this campground to anyone that needs a place to stay! We became close to the owners here and also the owners at the campground next door. We hate to say goodbye to this place but look forward to possibly coming back in the future.”

“Rode today definitely our favorite track in Texas. Since the reopening the tracks have always been it great shape the pro track is challenging and will bite you if you’re not careful. “This is my second time staying here and at this time around was...fine. Nothing amazing to write home about to be honest. Though I will admit the front desk clerk, I wish I had gotten his name, was so accommodating. He originally put me in a King size bed suite, well when I walked in, it was already occupied. (Thankfully no one was in there, just the belongings lol) Well I then went downstairs to tell him and he was extremely apologetic and instantly upgraded me for free. The executive suite was extremely nice, minus some questionable stains on the floor, and the ac was KICKING in that room. I slept great! The breakfast the next morning was abysmal so definitely go out for breakfast if you can.”

I got an open faced Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes smothered in beef gravy and mushrooms and candied carrots for under $5. Can't beat that.”

“We stayed in Courtney's Suite, the pictures are accurate but don't do it justice when seen all together in person. It was coziest studio we've been in, with all the amenities you'd need to lock yourself in for a couple rainy days; kitchen, sofa, music, TV, tub, etc. The main house was beautiful with a well outfitted rec-room, complete with games; movies, music. Everything was well recent construction, well maintained and clean. The actual breakfast was superb and we started the day struggling to move we ate so much.”

Stopped for gas and saw the sign, decided to call. A very nice man said he would save a room. The room is very clean, AC works great, have nothing to complain about other than the beds are too tall for short old lady.”

“We paid $79 for a one night stay. The sheets and bed were clean. The room had modern furniture. The balcony was super small and we were on the first floor so not much of a view. It faced the road. The balcony was screened in though which was nice. It did have a pool it's open 11am to 9pm. We didn't get to use it. The flowers and gardens were nice around the area. It has an ice machine and vending machines. They have brochures of things to do in the lobby area. They also have a pool table. The shower pressure was amazing and the temperature was good! The air conditioner worked great. Overall a good stay and was worth what I paid. Only 3 minutes drive from Bush gardens.”

“I have never in my 69 years felt so welcome and wanted. These people are beyond awsome. The park mgr, Dennis, has gone way out of his way to help me get settled here. This place is very clean and quiet extremely pet friendly. It is filled with honest upright older people. Dennis has also made it a very safe and secure place to live. No drug labs, no loud blaring nasty music, no screaming and fighting either. The perfect place to live.”
