“Cool. It has habitations and what not. I suppose you could probably live there if you gave whoever owns the place some kind of payment each month - or an outright trade for something higher in value. Maybe they'll barter for some emus or alpacas. Not sure though. Possibly some gently used pacaderms. Although, now that I think about it, they would probably prefer the United States Domestic currency instead as then they'd be able to use it to purchase or procure whatever they desire far easier. I like turtles.”

The manager Sue & her staff, goes above & beyond to do whatever it takes to make sure her residents are happy & satisfied living here in RiverBrook. Whenever there is an issue with something, the staff is right on it, and the maintenance crew is out getting the job done! They are making sure the community is kept clean of garbage, clearing the roads in the winter; and Sue has also made it a point to repair a lot of the roads and driveways in the community as well! Your dedication and hard work for us as residents is definitely appreciated, and I thank you. Thank you to everyone at the office for making this community an enjoyable place to reside.”

“I can't say enough great things about our stay at this condo! We had such a good time here - it's about a 5 minute walk to the beach, the condo is very clean and organized, and there are a lot of local places to eat and shop all within walking distance. They have on-site laundry and a lot of beach gear available to use as well. We stayed here for a month, waiting for our house contract to go through, and we still talk about how great our stay was. The beach within walking distance is so beautiful - I would wake up every morning and walk to drink my coffee right on the beach!! You can tell the owners work hard to keep this rental clean and maintained. I would highly recommend, and I would definitely stay here again in the future!”

This was our third year going and we are already planning to book for next year. The resort has so much to offer for all ages. The entertainment and the activities are all so much fun. They really take the time and care to ensure that every camper has a positive experience. “Everything about this place was great for exactly what it was, a motel to sleep in and bathe in. Great bed, good a/c in 105° summer heat with fridge and microwave and table. Nice flat screen with cable and spacious bathroom. Big walk in shower. After calling and looking online in Rockport, Aransas, and Port A it was the cheapest next to oyo and oyo is for junkies and addicts. There is no, breakfast or pool which is reflected by its price compared to everywhere else. Great location, rockport 5 to 10 mins away, heb and walmart less than 5 mins, and port a 10 mins depending on ferry time. Great customer service, can't say enough about this place for the budget conscious. Will be back.”

“I bought a place here in May. Since I have been here they have repaved the roads. That was the only thing that was a problem. This is a very nice community. Its quiet here. Friendly neighbors. The managment does a fantastic job with upkeep of the grounds. There are trailers for sale here that are vacant, but renovations have been done to the ones owned by the park. I found this place through my parents experience in the RV side, which I might add is very well maintained, and accommodating for all types of RVs. My parents had a 35 footer, and had plenty of parking. All in all, a nice quiet community, no sign of drugs or run down trailers. Has access to Lakewood local schools, and Millersport school district. Lot rent is fair, and compared to the other parks in Buckeye Lake, this is by far the best.”

“Walking into the lobby of the hotel, you get an older feel to the establishment. My wife said it reminded her of an old hotel in London - not unpleasant, but clearly a more dated style. The location is excellent, directly next to a variety of stores and immediate access to the highway. I found the staff very attentive and welcoming. Going up to our room was where we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms appear to be recently renovated and had some nice cabinetry in the bathroom. More importantly, the room and bathroom was incredibly spacious, almost on par with what I would consider a private suite. There is a nice large window to let in natural light from the courtyard, but a set of very dark blackout curtains are available for the late mornings, keeping the room pitch black. There really was no noise or disturbances to speak of, despite close proximity to the major road and highway, so I’m assuming the rooms are well insulated. No noises from other guests were noted either. Not sure if it’s a regular occurrence, but the hotel staff put out a COMPLIMENTARY huge welcome basket of snacks and drinks that lasted us well into our 3 day stay! In this economy?! A small but personal touch that we appreciated. Overall, the hotel is not necessarily cheap, but you definitely get a great experience. I would take this hotel over a traditional hotel chain any day, and look forward to staying again next time I’m in the area.”

A little pricey as you have to use their firewood ($7 a bundle - we used about 5 a day since they are pretty small) and no outside alcohol allowed, so with the site fee, you will spend around $80-$100 a day to stay here. If you are good with that, nice views and campsites are well spread out from each other, as well as free coffee in the mornings, which is a nice amenity.”

“If you like golf and movie stars and famous celebrities you should spend some time in the museum. The village itself is showing some age but much credit goes to the staff for keeping this once great destination in good shape. The gold coarse looked beautiful. The building was very impressive for a spectacular view of N Fl this was the place. It reminded me of the top of the capital building in Tallahassee. Every direction offered a great view. Back to the museum and what an incredible collection of photos and memorabilia. The video of Bob Hope and all the pictures was amazing. The video of Tiger Woods was equally impressive. The lockers offered a glimpse into the golfers view of what they’re career means to them. Definitely a great opportunity to take a look back at the past and appreciate what some many have done.”

“If you like a Reuben and don't go to this place, you are cheating yourself. And, the garlic fries are delicious. Then you can wash it all down with a nice cold one. They have a surprisingly nice selection of beer and wine. You can sit outside and enjoy the air. It has a nice small town or farmers market vibe going on. A great place to relax on a sunny weekend and the kids have plenty of grass and space to stretch those legs out.”
