When I booked the room I was looking for a hotel that took cash and because I have 2 last names the computer wouldn't take my I.D. and this man was a life saver. He went above and beyond for me because I'm in town because my husband is on life support at Duke and I was alone. He say with me and talked to me and made me laugh, I was having such a bad day and he turned it around and showed me that some people do care. Thank you Mr. Dean, I won't forget you during this tough time. Thank you RedRoof for having such a great employee, he needs a raise. The room was nice, clean, and warm.”

The property is immaculate, the suites provide EVERYTHING you need and more, from a fully stocked kitchen with a full size refrigerator, washer and dryer FREE TO USE on property, grills, beautiful lighted pool at night, picnic tables with umbrellas for shade, to the linen closet with aloe for to much sun... nothing is forgotten here! The owners are WONDERFUL people, very accommodating and will make you feel right at home! Everything is within walking distance including the beach which is just a 3 minute stroll! Call Gulfside before you book anywhere else.. you won’t be sorry and you will go back every year! I met Kathy and her brother Jim...( forgot to mention Resort is family owned) I consider them friends of mine now... Great people, Beautiful place, a memory I’ll never forget!”

“Friendly staff, clean rooms and very spacious! The grounds are beautiful, so many flowers and bushes. The pool is clean and has fun different color lights at night. The beach is gorgeous and because there are so few rooms at the hotel, it feels like a private beach. I hadn’t been to The Sea Chest since I was a little girl, 20 years ago, but it’s exactly how I remember. My husband was very impressed too and we’ve decided this will be our new vacation spot in the future. We also enjoyed playing shuffle board one evening.
