“I stayed in this little slice of heaven for two weeks while visiting my in-laws. The Mississippi is ever changing and there are sites available right on the water. I advise you to book early for the best views. I think it was sites 90 and 100 with the best view. There were barges and birds even got to see what looked like a river otter. For nature and tranquility this place is it! There was a bit of night life in the campground too, because my son who is traveling with made some cool friends to hang out with. But they were quiet and respectful too. The grounds offer decent showers and free laundry. This comes in handy for full timers or if you are taking a long trip. This place is truly a gem!”

We love the fact that there was a fireplace in the room and gave us all the free firewood we wanted. “While being on the lower end price wise, this motel is being run as a step above what you think. The newly renovated rooms are nice, but the best thing about this place, other than it’s location, is the bed. The mattresses are so much nicer than even places that rank 2-3 stars more than this place. I have stayed more than a few nights and always wake up completely refreshed. The couple that own and run this place need to be commended for knowing what to focus on to provide the best nights sleep to their guests for an amazingly low price.”

“This place was very clean. The staff was very courteous. Ian who was there running the breakfast, was on point! Loved the Texas sized waffles shaped like the state of Texas at the breakfast bar. The breakfast overall was awesome! If i lived close by i would go just for the breakfast and to say hi to Ian and the rest of the folks there. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. I enjoyed having a full size fridge and stove in my room! Overall this place is great.”

We got a first floor room which wasn’t bad. It had high ceilings and it was big. Clean and comfortable. The bathroom shower was great!! I love that check out is at noon. The hot breakfast buffet consisted of eggs, sausage, crunchy potatoes. They also had packaged items like hard boil eggs and yogurt. Parking is free and plentiful with structure in the back. They are also dog friendly with a dog releasing area/park. Service was also super friendly. Totally would come back!”
