“I found my new spot for when I visit Idyllwild in the future! I stayed in the Redwood room. The inn is across the street from a lovely community garden. It is super close to town - only a 2-5 minute walk to everything. The bed was super comfortable. Great TV and a nice collection of books in the room. There are also rustic outdoor seating areas. At night I heard an occasional car drive by on the mountain road - so nice and peaceful.”

“We spent one night here on our anniversary. We splurged and got the King Jacuzzi room overlooking the water. My only complaint was the price … almost $500 for one night. That’s the going rate nowadays (I priced many other rooms in town) and it’s not a knock on Silver Cloud. My complaint says more about my budget than anything. The room was very luxurious and for the amount of money, we definitely got the value. Bathrobes were comfortable, high quality towels and plenty of them. The room appointments were first class. The view from the tub was terrific! The jacuzzi tub was huge! And water temp was just as you’d expect. We paid extra (when we booked) for parking, and walking to dinner and dessert was easy. It appears as though they are still doing a considerable amount of building in the area, and more businesses will show up soon. Ruston is a cool town nowadays and I expect we’ll be back before too long.”

“This Quality Inn is clean and quiet. It is definitely dated and looks like they are updating. The staff was friendly, we didn't have any major issues. Always check your smoke alarms, even though the rooms are supposed to be no smoking, people do it anyway - not the hotel's fault but be sure your smoke alarm is not taped over. The hotel was great about moving us if someone smoked in the room.”

“This is a very nice park. Super clean. Sites were wide and long enough for our 40’ motorhome. Near the interstate, but it was plenty quiet because of the nice, big tree borders. We got in late, so had very little contact with staff, but Glenn did greet us (after hours), and led us to our site. We’ll stop again.”

“Absolutely loved our stay at Hammondell Campsites and RV Park. This has been the friendliest, most hospitable site we have been to in forever. Pat, her husband, Wendy and the rest of the staff was such a pleasure to work with. From the moment we arrived they made us feel at home, and even helped us setup our RV. Our RV site included water, electric and sewage hook-ups, and even cable TV. The site was very spacious and well lit, with a beautiful picnic area we really enjoyed. The pool was super nice and clean, and it's open from dawn to dusk. They also have laundry facilities, and activities hall. We fell in love with how safe and light the place felt, the people were all friendly and almost everyone we saw had pets, this was the perfect site for our weekend get-away for our daughter's birthday. Hammondell is about 3 miles from Legoland.”

“I have lived here for roughly 5 years. Overall its really good. I almost gave it a 3 because of the rules and the way some rangers act like big government authority almost and they will make you get a permit, then 6 months later tell you that you can't do something that you already got a permit for, which infuriates me like crazy. They need some more common sense instead of acting like the members are criminals at times. That being said its not a bad cost to live here, there are plenty of people that work here that are very kind, and having access to the lake and things like that are great. I could write a novel, but will leave it at that for now. My only advice to the staff is BE KIND, this isn't the united states corporation military, this is our home show some respect. Having said that, I overall recommend it. You guys train your staff better and use some more commons sense and work together more, I would give this a 5. Just be consistent please. Thanks!”

“I make at least one trip here every summer. Holiday weekends are always jam-packed with a fun crowd of guys. I recommend July 4th and Christmas in July weekends in particular. For a quieter time, plan to go on an off-weekend. Staff has always been friendly and does their best to make every stay enjoyable. I tent and prefer to stay on East Ridge. The grounds are huge and accommodate tent-campers, cabins, and small campers. The owners continually invest in their property to keep things fresh. I’ve never had a bad camping experience here, even when it’s poured rain.”

“Great people, Super clean and Super Well Maintained. From Craft and Art Fairs at the Clubhouse, to Santa bringing all the local neighborhood kids a unique present, And there's always more... A Fantastic BBQ, For all the Residents free of charge, only thing you have to bring is a desert to add to the hundreds that are there! Thanksgiving is a true feast! Again , bring desert to share and a side dish and you'll be stuffed just like the bird! The clubhouse is so much fun, pool table with TV for watching Sunday football or whatever you'd like, workout room with tv, a quiet area to just sit and read if you'd like, a computer to surf the web and do some shopping, a banquet hall that'd used for various celebrations, a library, Full use of 2 very large pools and jacuzzi with showers- the lap pool is heated and the bigger pool closer to clubhouse is not heated but very refreshing and fun to hang out and watch the grandkids, kids, family play! There is a basketball court, playground" bbqs, and on the Pantano Vista side, a quick 3 minute drive, there's another heated pool, very nice, with chaise lounges, showers and a beautiful landscape to boot. Mount Lemon and the Rincon mountains are practically in your back yard (see pictures) Don't forget there's Christmas light decoration contest, where you can win cash-real cash (we've won, ummm I think it's the 4th time but never #1... Yet ;) Just drive thru our gates, security runs 24 hrs a day and see what they have to offer. You will be Happy you did!!! (Stop by our in-house Real Estate agent, *ask the clubhouse* and get some more information to take home... It will be the Best decision you've made today!!! “We enjoyed our stay here. The best RV spot on the Island in our opinion. The host is super nice and the property is well maintained. The common area is awesome, to grill, play games or just hang out on the porch swing is ideal. Not to mention the beach is just across the street. Grand Isle is still rebuilding after hurricane Ida, however there are restaurants and grocery stores open to get what you need. The new marina is also open. Nice deck bar opened on the weekends.”
