“We're newcomers to the area. What a great place to get a historical perspective on the town and local area! It helps to know where they came from to know where they're headed in the future as a community. Was hoping to see more fire fighting relics since the building was originally a fire house. Still, it was a great place to take a grandson for his local history lesson! Stop by, you'll be glad you did!”

“Working with Eco Framing was my first experience getting something professionally framed, and Eric’s expertise and guidance was so helpful. Knowing the look I wanted to go for (something clean and timeless), Eric pulled out an array of frame and matte options for me to lay against my print. Once I had narrowed down my preferences, and understanding that I was budget-conscious, Eric worked with me to find the materials in the look I liked that worked within my budget. I am tremendously happy with the finished product and can’t recommend Eco Framing enough.”

“It's sad to see this historical park being ignored. Maybe they open for large groups. Either way, we were able to walk along on the outside and saw something different from each angle. I'm always amazed at how our forts came about and the history that comes of it.”

“Its a cool house. but what is this. my friend, MLH, loves to go trick or treating here. Apparently her candy was not memorable which is what most halloween candy is like so ye. So that means it was good candy. I like the lexus in the driveway and the shrubberies surrounding the house... It gives it a nice touch. THank you for not demolishing the house. XOXO - PSA”

“Loved this place! James and Helen were so fun to talk to. The memorabilia and stories about Waylon Jennings and the people he loved and spent time with, were amazing! James is just the best! A real hoot, with some great memories of his famous big brother ... but fantastic adventures of his own to tell as well! Its easy to get wrapped up in all the Waylon memorabilia, but the liquor store also has everything you need and more. Definitely worth the detour!”

“Pretty decent museum. I liked how the planetarium was free after admission. They have a first responder discount! We went and saw a nice movie about satellites in the planetarium. The first floor has some dinosaurs 🦖 🦕 sharks and other things. It has a nature play area for kids. The bathrooms were clean. Then we went outside to the manatee area. Took some pictures and saw some amazing pvc pipes. Once we were done we went to the Hispanic house. It was very nice. Then upstairs we went. I got out and saw some nice things. They had old shells and stones. Old medicines. Stem for girls. I think that it's good for all ages. Elevator works well. Free parking garage close to here and police station.”

“The Knox County Historical Museum portrays an excellent history of Knox County, and the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We especially enjoyed the Paul Lynde memorabilia, including his 1964 Ford Thunderbird car, and the George Tanner collection of old telephones. The exhibits are very nicely displayed and well-documented.”

“A place where kids can have fun and make art but it is not really a museum for kids as whatever little art is there is fairly modern and not easy to interpret. Still the kids that came with us had a lot of fun because of all the activities and the things they could make. The staff of the museum help to make things as well Tickets for kids are free for below 8 and $4 for kids till 17. Adults it is $7. They also have books and other small artwork for sale. They also have storytelling sessions which you can find out about by just calling them. The staff were quite friendly.”

“This is the most wholesome fun you could ever have! My husband and I had such a great day this past Saturday at the Almelund threshing show. We explored the old buildings- courthouse, schoolhouse, blacksmith, barber shop, cabin, lumber mill and many more. There are lots of activities like washing clothes, sawing, making a walking stick, etc. We watched the tractor parade that lasted at least an hour and a half. We also had great fun watching the polka band and browsing at least 2 miles of flea market. We also ate hamburgers, hot dogs, pork chop on a stick, corn on the cob, pecan pie alamode, and a malt.”

“Such a nice place to come and see old trains and buildings. They have some nice things to do. I saw some neat things. The ladies inside the building are very nice. I liked the chickens. They Even have an out house. If you like activities they have some free books to take home. I had a good time! They have brochures behind the general store. The whistle stop train shop is currently closed with a sign. It is indoors. The houses are hot because they don't have air conditioning so they recommend you stay hydrated and use benches to rest.”
