“Fun place in Queens to get some farm live joy! We went there for the corn maze and it's an incredible experience. The maze took us about an hour to solve in the dark, the spooky music choice was a great addition to the Halloween theme, and the staffs member there had some great sense of humor :) There's also a petting zoo and we get to see a lot of cute farm animals along with some interesting fact about them. Definitely a very family friendly place.”

“The walk north along the previous Erie RR is flat....good for biking, running and walking. It's usually very peaceful and shaded, with gorgeous views if the Hudson River. The station itself is quaint, but not operational.”

“My class had a lot of fun at Greem Meadows Farm. However, it was very crowded and the lines were very long for the pony ride and the hay ride. We did not end up doing either. But there was plenty more to do. Fun times for all!”

“Beautiful grounds to walk around with apple trees and gardens and roses as well as multiple buildings that were part of Mr. Livingston's estate. He was the first elected governor of New Jersey, and the Livingston/Kean family has lived there in the past 200 years. The family has been influencing American politics on every level since then. Now the grounds are part of Kean, but can be rented out for events. The gardens are great for ceremonies and the carriage house is a beautiful brick building for small gatherings. They offer tours of the main house and there is a lot of historical information as well. I was there for a wedding which was amazing with a large tent set up by the carriage house, but I want to go back to take a tour and learn more about the history of this amazing estate.”

“Took our local cub scouts for a hike here to meet some of their badge requirements. Staff was extremely helpful and excellent with the kids. Before the hike, they explained certain nature related terms and showed them some animals (ei. Box turtle, rabbit, dove) that really got the kids excited. Great place!”

“Very great to explore. There's a little camping area (I think you might need to reserve?). There's trails that lead to Mamaroneck near the French American School, Scarsdale near the Saxon Woods golf course, it overlooks the Hutch, and it leads to Harrison's Mamaroneck Avenue office buildings. I recommend exploring in Fall when there's less bugs. You can go in summer if you keep running though so the bugs can't catch you. They might fly in your nose though. I do not recommend the bugs in your nose.”

“Just wow! The museum is located on the grounds of the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. The building is a beautiful converted older home. It isn’t the Smithsonian, for sure, but it probably doesn’t enjoy that kind of funding either. We enjoyed seeing the ship models and learning more about how important the Merchant Marine is in both peacetime and war. I really had no idea before visiting the museum how weapons, tanks, and such are transported overseas. I also learned about the midshipmen (students) from the Academy who lost their lives during WW II, and that they were the only students from any federal service academy to serve during that war. Highly recommend.”
