All in all the I would love to come back to this hotel in the future, maybe try out a different location. I walked in late, and they were getting ready to put everything away, But they didn't treat me like the guy who walks in late and means that they can't clean up yet--in fact, just the opposite. The host was so kind that it felt almost like she had been waiting for me to arrive, she made sure to tell me that if I wanted more of any dish at the buffet, they would happily cook more up for me. She checked in two or three more times to see if I needed anything. The food was delicious, The eating area was quite clean, and well-run. All the staff there were very polite, and their smiles seemed genuine and personal. The men's room could stand to be a little bit cleaner, but like I say I did arrive at the end of the day; My guess is that they had been a little bit more focused on preparing for close, so maybe they hadn't cleaned it in a little minute.”

It’s a restaurant that has similar style to Chipotle where you can pick and choose. The food was great. The food was good and came out relatively quickly, the service was professional and prompt, and you can't complain about a great negroni! Fairly low key, but the food was fresh and executed well. They have some interesting items like the Long Island specialty of fried pasta cake, which is actually delicious and not like you'd expect. The pastas are good and the shrimp and octopus were delicious. We sat on the back patio which was a little more casual, it's fully enclosed and warm. In the restaurant is a great atmosphere with the pizza oven burning oven in the background. Parking can be a little tight so make sure to get there a couple minutes early.”

“Visited for the first time today while vacationing at the beach. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic…fresh, large portions, and great quality. Loved the unique touches like the pickled onions and tomatoes on the sandwiches, and the brown sugar butter for the biscuits. The sweet potato biscuits with ham and red pepper jam were delicious and better than others I’ve had in the area. The sandwiches are huge (a half portion option would be great), and quite messy but well worth the sticky fingers and extra napkins. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere, and clean restrooms! One of our new “regulars” for sure when we come back to the beach!”

“Tuesdays they have the most delicious fish tacos for only $1.50. They are hot, crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. They are covered in cabbage, crema, and salsa. This was my go-to spot for lunch when I worked in South Gate. The other food is great too, but the tacos on a budget are the best. They also do $1.50 tacos on Thursday, but not fish: asada, chicken, al pastor, and carnitas. It's a small building attached to a car wash. No indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor tables and chairs.”

“The interior and exterior of this newer location is clean and well staffed. The men's room had a sign on the door stating that the lock was broken and it instructed to knock before entering. The lock was missing all together. A simple, quick trip to a local hardware store for a standard replacement deadbolt would have solved the problem. The newly advertised Texas Street Tacos and Tamales were both good, but pricey for the amount of food received. The street tacos are small, but the tamale was a normal sized one. Two tacos, one tamale and a medium drink ran $8.00. the food was hot, fresh and tasted great. The staff was friendly and quick. If they lowered the price slightly and take care of simple maintenance, the rating would be a 5 star.”
