“This is one of the few places our entire family loves. I’ve been to so many poke places and this is by far my favorite in the area because of the portions, especially if you get 1/2 salad 1/2 rice since they put it in the big container instead of the bowl. It looks and tastes great, especially when you ask for all the toppings. They also have convenient online ordering for pickup without any upcharge. I only wish they had a loyalty program since I’d get so many free bowl 😂”

This place has a limited assortment of alcohol options and their menu offers appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and a salmon option. I highly recommend the gyro and waffle cut sweet potatoes fries. This place can get pretty busy on weeknights between 6 and 8, but the restaurant staff tries their best and the good still gets out pretty quick. While the setting is rather basic and atmosphere here is not quiet typically, it is better described as friendly and straightforward. “The food here is great, especially for a quick, healthy lunch option. They have a wide variety of bases for the bowls, include a variety of rice and greens. There are several protein options, and many types of vegetables and other fun toppings and dressings. My favorite are the toasted macadamia nuts. The service is friendly and efficient. The food comes together quickly. The only issue is the seating. The dining room is clean but there isn’t a lot of indoor options. They do have a patio area outside, with umbrellas over the tables.”

These were chewy on the outside, soft on the inside and if you told me they came from Slidell I'd say you were lying. I grabbed a dozen on my way to New Orleans from Mobile. I highly recommend! I was surprised at just how spicy the jambalaya was(and we live off extremely spicy Cajun food during the winter l). It was still really good, though. I let the slice wear off from the rice before trying and seafood pasta and it was the right level of spicy! Large enough portions for good prices. Some of the better packaging practices too! I’d love to try the fish or the potato sometime when I’m back in town.”

“We had a lovely stay at the Inn On The River. The room was quaint and comfortable and the owner was very hospitable and accommodating. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the Inn and the area, which made our stay even more interesting. Breakfast was tailored to our preferences and was both healthy and delicious. The location was walking distance to some shopping areas and historical sites and a short driving distance to Dinosaur Valley State Park and other local parks and attractions. “Bulrush is a gem in the rough located in Rush City, MN We arrived at a gravel parking lot and faded building. Never judge a book by its cover. Bulrush offers a beautiful experience at a great price. The carts were gas, a little on the worn side but had plenty of pep and lots of storage. The course is a bit confusing if you haven't played it before but it does make for an interesting experience. The range is located a little drive from the clubhouse and was in pretty good condition. The practice green behind the clubhouse was very nice and reflected the green quality of the course. Tees were decent but could use some TLC. They are very functional save 1 tee box which was very much dirt. The real gem of this place is the fairways and greens. This course offers meandering fairways over rolling hills, and some really nice greens. Bulrush has the potential to be what many golf courses only dream of becoming.”

The place is really cute and they have parking in the back. Their muffins are incredibly soft and moist! Their coffee mugs are little so you need to call them multiple times to refill. The service is great, I think it might be family owned and run. It’s always a great experience whom ever is there. And I personally love the atmosphere.
