“Great little pizza shop. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were visiting the area and didn't really know what we wanted. The staff was very kind and patient, and even told us about deals that were going on, which was cool and saved us money. The food was delicious. We got Wedgies, which are basically calzones, but better for some reason. I think it was because of the crust ingredients. It was like a gyro and calzone mix, very good. At least the chicken one was. I also got their potato wedges, which were good. They weren't over seasoned and they were the perfect amount of crunchy yet soft. Plenty of parking and space to maneuver in the parking lot of this business strip mall area. I'd definitely go back.”

“Merton Sub Co is probably the best sub sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ll start with the bread is amazing every time. Freshly baked, crunchy on the outside and perfect on the inside. Thick cut meat, perfect amount of toppings. I use to get the Chief but now I’m stuck on the Italian. Comes with a nice bag of chips too. The owner is very personable, takes the time to get to know you when he’s not too busy, very good at remembering names and what your story is. I love a small town business like this, mom and pop kind of place. It’s in the old Merton Fire house too! I’m thinking about having my nephews birthday party here.”

Any time I've ordered this dish at different restaurants they were always greasy. Not so this time. My husband ordered Frog Legs. I am not terribly adventurous with food, but I tried them. I was surprised. The texture and flavor were much more delicate than I was expecting. I ordered Crab Cakes, also good. I chose red skin potatoes as my side. They were just boiled (which the server told me when I ordered), so they just needed some butter, salt and pepper. Our server was really nice and tolerated me in a chatty mood :-). I also have no complaints with the atmosphere. All good.”

Even the sticky floors reminded me of the south. I had the Chef Special and the catfish was juicy with a great thin breading. The wings were supposed to be hot and spicy but tasted more like sweet and spicy. The gumbo had a excellent tasting thin roux with yummy sausage and chicken. However it was missing a bit of the holy trinity with no okra or celery. I was a bit disappointed. Yolanda was a great host and is the reason for an extra star and a half.”

“This place is a gem! I ordered chilaquiles and I asked them to make them a bit spicer than normal and THEY DELIVERED. The tortillas were crisp till the very end even with all that sauce. Served with delicious refried beans and sunny side up eggs, topped with Mexican sour cream and cotija cheese, this is the perfect representation of what homemade chilaquiles should be. I was also provided with 3 other salsas just in case. Although I didn’t need them, I tried them all. There was red Chile de árbol salsa which has a great roast flavor. The second one was a green Tomatillo salsa which has a great flavor. The third one (my fav) was a salsa de Aguacate. Lastly, their Chile in oil salsa already on the table was off the charts. That stuff goes well on anything. The coffee was exactly what i had growing up in a Mexican household, instant coffee ready to mix with a hot cup of water. In my honest opinion, the costumer service was great and lots of love and effort went into putting together one of the most iconic yet simple Mexican breakfast dishes ever. **update - the beans there taste like my mom’s homemade refried beans. Amazing!I have not found any other beans in the PNW that taste like they should”

Funny, they didn’t ask and of the 3 to go customers their name. Very small town with the only other places for food are two gas stations. We took advantage of the two outdoor picnic table as there is no inside seating. One of the customers tried to steer to the 2lb Cheeseburger but I had already ordered. Several other menu items worth noting. Chitlins, cabbage, collard greens, oxtails, okra and of course bologna. Just what you need to bring out your inner country boy. Enjoy. The meat was very flavorful. Def fulled me up with the large horchata but I had leftovers which was soo good . My friend ordered the carne asada torta it was HUGE and she said it taste so good. We both got full. Together we spent $42.00 I would def take that ride for some good Mexican food. They were so friendly which is another reason we loved it.
