“Gordon and everyone down at Al’s hideaway is awesome. We love traveling on 2 wheels and this is a perfect place to stay for riding all over the hill country! Scenic rides and great places to eat in all directions and then you get to cook and hang out with like minded people in their great outdoor kitchen or head back to cabin for a little more privacy and hang out on your own front porch. “I have been living here for almost a year(10 months). I love it here. The community is clean, there is a park and a pool. I don't have any problems with my neighbors. A big plus is when I had put in a work order for my wall to be fixed and maintenance came the same day the order was placed, and did a wonderful job the same day as well. I also like how we get a newsletter every month. I would recommend!”

“Very nice lady at the office. Entrance looks really nice. Wifi works well at the office, not in the park. There is tent camping possible. I saw three tents on a nice piece of grass under some trees. Toilets and showers are dated, but clean. We stayed one night in our RV with full hookup for about 60 dollars. There is no pool or playground. I would guess that 75% of the spots are rented long-term.”

“We visited Sundial Campground in April of 2018 and ended up living there for 4 years. Tim is the best manager ever. Very friendly and always willing to help. When we had a problem with out RV's electrical system, he helped us figure it out and got the power back on. The setting is quiet, right next to the cow pasture and no it doesn't smell. The people are friendly and Tim is on top of everything. I feel very safe here. Hated to leave, but we had to move out of state to be closer to family.”

“We arrived here a couple weeks ago, relocating from out of state. The park is relatively new (Jan 2023) and "no frills" (no amenities like laundry, restrooms/showers,etc), which is fine for our needs at the moment. It is located in a very rural area. Water & electric are included in the cost, and the cost is affordable. Dogs welcome. The park management is onsite, and they are responsive. There are a few rigs that appear to be here for the long term, but since we've been here, there have been quite a few who come for a day or a few and then travel on. On the western boundary, the park abuts a fenced field where cows roam throughout the day. The eastern boundary is an empty field. At this time of year, fireflies come out in the evening, which was neat to see. The closest stores are about 9 miles away (15 minute drive along country roads) in Anna, where you can find a Walmart, restaurants, gas, etc. I haven't been to a laundromat yet, but the closest appears to be in McKinney, also a 15-20 minute drive.”

“We stayed here for about 3 months and LOVED every minute of it! It was so peaceful and quiet. The staff was so friendly and amazing that I truly enjoyed talking to them inside of the restaurant. We did try the restaurant and being a native of the area, the food would have been better if it hadn’t been frozen but was still enjoyable. The workers and owner spent everyday we were there working to make the park even more beautiful! The pool area was always kept up and had a beautiful display of flowers all around to make you feel right at home. Definitely stop by and check them out!”

“Quiet and homely place to live. Owners/Caretakers care very much for their small community. Many folks here have lived here for 20-30+ years. I only just got here this year, and this is the second place I've ever lived on my own, now with my wife. I count myself very blessed to have found and acquired a domicile here. My neighbors are so very nice. And it's DEAD quiet, like ALL the time. It's amazing. And it's located in a very geographically strategic spot. Multiple ways to reach Suffolk within 25mins. And, of course, with the Town of Franklin right next door, we very rarely have to travel far for anything. If we do, it's for familial visits. All in all, Beaverbrook Manor does a FANTASTIC job at quelling any and all negative feelings one might have for a "trailer park". I'd rather live here than anywhere else in Franklin, that's for SURE! Especially a great spot for a young couple like ourselves to use as a first stepping stone on the tumultuous walk of life. I will be forever grateful to Beaverbrook Manor for giving a young stranger a chance.”
