“This was a pretty good hotel! I walked in, and the hotel was cool, which is amazing since it was 98 degrees outside... anyways, the room was nice with two queen sized beds with an operating TV with a mini fridge and a microwave. The bathroom is clean since I haven't seen any stains on the towels or any mold in the shower. So my final review is 4 stars only because of some minor flaws in my room.”

“Camping at Sugarloaf lake and had to try the bread, the shop smells so good and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. Made the best grilled cheese back and camp with the garlic cheddar loaf, it toasted up beautifully! Definitely reccomend this bakery! My daughter got a chocolate croissant, which was also incredible.”

From start to finish, the day was flawlessly organized and packed with excitement. Our guide, Mitch, was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and a master at navigating the river. He struck the perfect balance between safety and adventure, keeping our group confident and engaged through every rapid. His expertise on the water and clear communication made even the most challenging sections of the river feel like an exhilarating team effort. The Upper Kern offered nonstop action with rapid after rapid, and the full-day format gave us ample time to explore some of the best white water in California. The scenery was breathtaking, the water was fast and fun, and the adrenaline rush was exactly what we were hoping for. Breaks and lunch were well-timed and well-prepared, allowing us to recharge without losing momentum. Sierra South runs a first-class operation—from the gear to the logistics to the river itself. “Was very happy to see the had a large stock of Pokemon here, along with a wide variety of other card games and a lot of comics. I picked up an ETB and a booster bundle, both next to impossible to come by in any retail stores. The staff was very friendly and there are sometimes groups that will play games or open packs in the back of the store where they have a couple of tables set up. Their prices are very reasonable compared to all the Pokemon scalpers that are out there now. Will definitely be coming back since they’re in a convenient location.”
