“Found Capt. Britt and Big Outdoor Charters in 2014 after I bought a donated fishing trip from him at a charity auction. Since then, he is my preferred charter captain when I want to go out fishing the marshes around Hopedale for trout and redfish. He was great with my kids when they were younger, and they love going out with him too now. My buddies enjoy going with him too when they're in town, as he always finds you fish regardless of the conditions. He's fun to be with on the boat as well. His lodge right across from his boat dock is a great place to stay. Top of the line person and business right here. Highly recommended!”

“I've been living here since 2013, the apartments are small but this suits me perfectly. They were a little bit run down when I got here but have been sold to new owners of which has been working very hard to get the place fixed up. They have recently hired a live on site manager and she has made a huge impact for the apartments that she has worked on. She fixed a leak in the ceiling that was the first thing she had to do when she was first hired on and she was very professional and thorough down to the details of her repair. The changes that have been done here are a variety of areas I think what these two have been able to get accomplished here are pretty awesome and I love it here. It's been home for 10 years now and I am hoping that it will be home for many more years ahead.”

“Go check this park out plety of deer to see and some coyotes at night .But they are upgrading the park . Looks like new sites for 🐴 trailers and camper's are going in and they are clearing the trails out for you to ride horses and hike . Beautiful ⛱️ area clean swimming place. Shower's are ok on both areas of the park . You all are doing a great job A.C.O.E . And the ranger's are so awesome ! Can't wait to see how it all turns out.💪💚”

“If you hike in to Stafford campground, you will appreciate the accommodations. There electricity and water but you MUST filter the water for drinking/cooking. There is no hot water but it is actually ok and refreshing after a long day of hiking. The best place to view the wild horses is just down the access road. The beach is awesome and peaceful. No crowds here probably because it is such an effort to get and stay here. All the campsites are nicely located with tree cover, fire rings and a choice of tent locations. Firewood can be hard to come by so be prepared to scavenge further from camp.”

“Sue and Ralph are wonderful hosts. The home was super clean, we had a very spacious room, and the bed was super comfy. The home is located in a serene environment that is quite peaceful with great valley views. We especially loved the vineyard Q & A with Ralph. We would highly recommend this B & B. The B & B is close to the town of Carlton which has outstanding eateries - try Cuvee (say hello to Henry the owner) and Park & Main across the street - you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!”

The room was very clean and nice the balcony was definitely a nice addition with the view of the splash park and water. I enjoyed the feeling of home in the room with a kitchen and wash machine and dryer. The location is great and your not far from anything. I will definitely be returning. The only thing i wish they had a better way of getting splash park passes but for now you have to go to the lobby daily to get your passes”

“We were looking for a place close to where my husband’s nephew lives in Plano, TX. We only needed to spend one night while on our way to San Antonio area and I searched high and low for a close but acceptable site. Brushy Creek RV Resort came the closest to what we needed but when we pulled into the “resort”, we didn’t think this was going to work for us. Michelle from the office checked us in and escorted us to our site. It had a gravel base and was near the dumpster. But this is where it became a hidden gem. This site was full hookup, including cable and very adequate wi-fi all for a very modest price. The site was completely level and there was no road noise at all which resulted in a good night’s sleep. I walked our refuse to the dumpster. If we are ever in this area again, we would certainly come back here. Thanks to you, Michelle.”
