Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and special. The hotel and guestroom was clean and well decorated. We enjoyed the history and photographs throughout. The location of the hotel was perfect and the views were breathtaking. We enjoyed our private balcony all throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to visit again soon.”

The only downside is a huge housing community is being built close by, so it might not feel like you are away from everything if that is what you are seeking. “I stayed at the Edwards Waterhouse Inn for one night and wished I could have enjoyed it longer. The house itself is beautiful and has been lovingly restored to create spaces that are classic yet have modern amenities. Jeff and Maggie made our stay memorable, they are both so kind and easy to talk to, not to mention informative and helpful about the available dinner spots in town. The custom ordered breakfast is truly a highlight of staying at this inn-everything was fresh and delicious. I will definitely return for another stay the next time I am in the area.”

The attached deck with patio doors, bbq and chairs were great. We ate dinner at the restaurant and were astonished at the excellent customer service provided by the wait staff….The owners were friendly and accommodating. The property: marina, campground, restaurant and cabins were well looked after. Would definitely recommend.”

“We really enjoyed this hotel. The positives: It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower was nice and hot. The pool is amazing and the hot tub was hot. The breakfast was good too. The negatives: There is a coin laundry, but the hotel does not have a change machine and refuses to give change for cash at the front desk. We were in the area for hurricane relief and my cousin (local to Fort Myers) needed to be able to do laundry after a week of no power after the hurricane. The guy at the front desk told us maybe we could go to the gas station. If there is no change machine and the hotel won't provide change, why have coin laundry machines? That makes no sense. Also, the fridge in our room did not work. We stayed for 2 nights and I tried turning the knob up the first night, and down the 2nd night. No luck. All our food went bad and the fridge smelled horrific. I told the girl at the front desk and she literally rolled her eyes at me and told me it probably wasn't set correctly. No apology or effort at customer service, no maintenance note, nothing. Just cynicism.”
