They are lovely kind and generous people who work very hard to welcome and take care of their guests needs! They have done a beautiful job of renovation their unique historical home! I think it’s been 29 years of diligence to make a lovely get away for their guests! What an amazing contribution to their community! We especially recommend and appreciated the dinner for tow that Karen made us! Delicious! She is an excellent chef! We also love each unique breakfast and Steve blessing us by playing his fiddle! Our favorite part by far was the excellent message therapy in our room! Karen is an expert! We were very impressed and will definitely come again! Thank you so much!”

“This ground campsite is a day or two kayak trip away from Chokoloskee and Everglades City. A free standing tent is (almost) required because your tent is setup on a dock-like structure and tent stakes don't drive well into the dock. If you are creative, you can use rope or twine to tie each side of the tent to the end of the boards. There were two picnic tables when I was last here and there is room for at least 4 two-person tents. We fit three one-person tents on one side of the dock structure and could have fit another. You could do the same on the other side. It is totally peaceful out here, and depending on the time of year you may catch a beautiful sunset. Make sure to bring everything into your tent at night. There are mice living here that will fight over whatever you leave out. You'll hear them at night under the boards as they fight over what the camper before you left behind. Dolphins and alligators also frequent this site. This is a great spot to get away from it all as you head down to Flamingo.”

“My husband and I loved our stay. We were celebrating our anniversary with a quick weekend trip to the Boise area and our stay was wonderful. We stayed in the train room and it was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. The bed was great, we both slept very well. The shared living area was very nice to have especially because we brought our 2 year old with us. We were able to put him to bed and watch a movie in the other room. All the extra little touches made us feel at home and very accommodated. Breakfast was delicious. Communication was also very good.”

“I had the pleasant opportunity to eat lunch here a couple of Friday's ago. I decided to stop at the Crossroads Inn and Motel as I was a bit frustrated about finding a decent fish sandwich (this was during Lent). Fortunately the hunt for a decent fish sandwich was over! Really, it was just perfect: the right size, cooked just right (not greasy, not overdone, etc.). Looked appetizing. The fries were awesome too! And, finally, I had coleslaw which topped off the meal being (probably) home made! The meal was second to none. The service was excellent. Very friendly, kind, and sincere. Atmosphere is wonderful; there were several customers there dining and it had that small town feel-the waitress (and owners too!) spoke to the customers and vice versa. Very clean, quaint atmosphere. Very decent prices and the selection from the menu is somewhat unique as you don't see the foods offered at the mass restaurants. Well worth the trip, you won't regret it!”

“We stayed at Mikes place for 2 weeks in the spring of 2023. This place is magical to say the least. It is remote enough that all you can hear is the sounds of nature; dark enough that you can see all the stars. The cabin is spacious and comfy with modern up-to-date amenities. Mike was the perfect host steering us to the wonderful sights on the Blue ridge Parkway. I highly recommend this place and Mike's hospitality. We will always stay here when we are in the area.”

“This is a very cute, family owned motel. The buildings are pretty old but the rooms inside are fairly up to date, and extremely clean (tile floors instead of carpet helps with that a lot). We stayed there after our RV site was washed out by the March 2023 rainstorms (don't worry, the only thing we lost of value was a fancy gas grill😀 Speaking of grills, the motel has a pretty nice gas grill and picnic area in the parking lot, and the pool looked very inviting, though it was a touch too cold to really think about using them. Oh, and the Cinderella is also dog friendly! Though be aware that if you're not, the owner does have a couple dogs of her own that she keeps in the back, and when they're out, they are a bit barky. That said the one dog I actually met while checking in was super friendly, and very excited to meet new people! All in all, if you're looking for an inexpensive, but comfortable place to stay in Hollister, I highly recommend the Cinderella.”

“We attended a work Christmas party here at this venue on Tuesday night. The place was decorated very beautifully for the holidays, which made that a nice entrance into the building. The Valet guys were very nice and the car was treated well. The party room we were in was a nice sized room, although the lights were a little too bright for the event. The food was a good selection of different types of dishes, buffet style. Bartender was very nice and helpful. our DJ was very good. The staff at the party were all pretty nice. Someone at the party dropped a glass and it broke and they cleaned it up very quickly and safely. And were very nice about it. The outside areas are very pretty with fireplaces and outside seating. All in all, it was a nice evening and was enjoyable.”

“We stayed here while visiting family in the area. The house was adorable, cozy, and beautifully furnished. All the extra touches the owners added made our stay even more enjoyable. There were plenty of snacks (which was great because we had been on the road for so long), bottled water and coffee, and even homemade cookies with a personalized note waiting for us when we arrived! The area was so peaceful and the landscape was absolutely perfect for relaxing and enjoying our time away from work and the stress of life. We enjoyed the firepit in the evenings and sunrises with coffee in the morning. It truly feels like a different world out there. I've already recommended Max and Barb's to several of my friends and family looking for a nice getaway. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we're in town!”

“This is my second time staying here and at this time around was...fine. Nothing amazing to write home about to be honest. Though I will admit the front desk clerk, I wish I had gotten his name, was so accommodating. He originally put me in a King size bed suite, well when I walked in, it was already occupied. (Thankfully no one was in there, just the belongings lol) Well I then went downstairs to tell him and he was extremely apologetic and instantly upgraded me for free. The executive suite was extremely nice, minus some questionable stains on the floor, and the ac was KICKING in that room. I slept great! The breakfast the next morning was abysmal so definitely go out for breakfast if you can.”
