“Actually my visit here was work connected as a field trip. I work at a great little farm museum but this place is fantastic, plan on long visit with lots of walking. The entire thing has so much to see you could make it a all day affair. I found this a great day full of information, great recreational activities and the historic exhibition of the History is the best. It has a lot to offer every age”

“The office is located on an old steamboat wharf on the Choptank River in Denton. It is a lovely spot. The dock is always open even when the office is not. This is one of the sites on the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway. The marker is on the dock. When the tourism office is open, the small museum is too.”

“A small but robust museum curated by informed people. Well worth the visit. I've been twice. Uniforms, boots, pictures, ammo, books, a mock up of a trench. There's a chapel and a display of chaplaincy's vital role. Self guided. It's not the electronic museum of big cities. But it's a good look at where we've been as a country in our wars with plenty of emphasis on the people, men and women alike, who served.”

“This place was absolutely amazing. We did the hour long tour, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun. She was animated and tried to get us into the tour and have as much fun as we could. It was interesting to find out all about the process to make chocolate from cacao and who ate/drank it. At the end, we got chocolate samples ranging from white chocolate all the way to 82% chocolate, as well as a truffle sample. I tried the key lime truffle and it was to die for!!! Afterwards, we got some complimentary hot chocolate(or coffee if you prefer), which was again, phenomenal. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. This was money well spent and I would gladly recommend this place to others.”

“I expected the pieces to be knock offs and boring. However, they exceeded my expectations, exponentially. This is a fun place to visit, but I wouldn't recommend bringing young kids.”

“This is a hidden gem located in kitty hollow Park. It is only open once a week for a couple of hours but if you like history and want to know about the local history of Fort Bend county this is worth the visit. The two tour guides were so helpful and knowledgeable. It is a beautiful Plantation home and filled with artifacts from the Dew family.”

“Extremely organized display. I was very impressed with the elegance and amount of material they had on display, such as the historical descriptions to the various types of aircraft in the hangers. The facility was very clean and fancy. The staff were very friendly and many of them are very knowledgeable on the subject matter and were more than happy to teach you more about anything that interested you. Very well worth the money. They even offered a AAA discount so it was $12 per adult. We ended up staying well over 2 hours. Definitely would recommend for anyone! They have educational displays for those that aren't experts in aviation and even interactive displays along with the explanations.”
