“We arrived too early, the museum doesn’t open until 1pm. We left and returned too late, they closed around 4pm. Short hours. The art that we did see on the outside was amazing. I have a creative mind but my creativity is “stick figures” compared to the art on display here. It’s amazing to see creations made of rocks, horse shoes, tires, old bolts and screws. I loved it without seeing everything the museum had to offer.”

“Really cool mini golf design but the greens were a little lumpy due to the roots of trees. It actually added to the fun in my opinion. Grounds were really well kept and the sculpture garden was really cool. Big fan of the turtle made out of tires and the pig in the airplane. Worth the drive if you are within 45 minutes for sure!”

“My wife had little to distinguish, although she is very intelligent. One the hand, I recognized it as a distinguished historical proof of American ingenuity, determination and driving creativity. Astounding realization of events and developing crafts through the years, were spontaneously and well represented by friendly staff. I sensed the breadth of dedication of special people., This highly professionally designed museum, aimed to project and remind new and old folks how to protect and sustain our true and vulnerable heritage.”

“I lived close to this museum for more than a decade and only now I went in What a great modern exhibit that follows in chronological order the contribution that women did from the revolutionary war to today. What i really appreciated was that at every chapter in history there was a section that explained how society reacted and what policy and legislative changes occured. I also liked that this wasn't solely a celebration of the group endeavors but different soldiers where highlighted. Afterwards, i drove to downtown Petersburg to purchase a donut in honor of the donut lassies lol.”

“Take a step back in time and visit this historic gem. There are so many reminders of the typical life "Back in the Day". Kudos to the folks that give their time and volunteer so that we can take a glimpse of how life was before "smart phones"🙄 It's fun, take an hour, you won't be disappointed !”

“This museum is getting back on its feet after being closed for two years due to the pandemic, and some of the exhibits and especially the nature trail behind it need a bunch of TLC. But the admission is free, the staff friendly, and the exhibits are fair to very good. Very nice display of artillery shells from the War Between the States. Good over view of the local history of Tunica County and the surrounding areas. The museum is still running on a reduced schedule: it is now only open Thurs. Fri. & Sat. 9A.M.-4P.M., but the lady who runs it tells me that by May they hope to have everything back in ship shape and expand the number of days that they will be open. It's definitely worth a visit if you are a local or from the surrounding area and want to learn some things about the area's history.”
